  1. Congrats I hope to get in next year. I have to retake Biology and Chemistry since it has been over 10 years. When I hear stories like yours, it really motivates me.
  2. @MyCrazyWorld I have racked my brain over and over whether I should do LPN or RN first. I have had people to tell me go straight to RN but after looking at my financial situation, I have decided to do the LPN route to get some experience and make some money than go for my RN and than I want to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. I am taking one step at a time and besides now I have to go back and retake Chemistry and Biology because it's been over 10 years. I like the plans that you have laid out so hang in there and good luck to you:-D
  3. Thanks for the advice. I like that you don't have many pre reqs required in order to get in their program like most of the colleges. I have to work and pay for school since my financial aid has run out, but it will be worth it in the end.
  4. Oh OK the school called me yesterday and wanted me to come in and talk to them. I am undecided because of the price and the 45 min commute, but have heard that is a good school though.
  5. Wow that's expensive, I was reading a post where someone graduated from there. Thanks for the info I think I will stick with the community college.
  6. Has anyone went through ECPI in Raleigh LPN program? I am to the point now that I am thinking of going for LPN and work my way up, at least I can make some money while going back to school.
  7. I must agree they are very expensive, but good schools. I am at a crossroad because I need 7 more credit hours to get my Associate in Science and can't apply to the nursing programs because I still need MAT 070, my CPR, CNA, and take the TEAS test. Still trying to figure out what route to take now, but good luck to you!!!
  8. Was wondering if anyone has applied or thinking about applying to Methodist University or FSU's nursing program? Sent for some information and thinking about applying to either one or both just haven't really decided on FSU because I know that they had problems with their program in the past. Just wanted to know your thoughts and opinions or if you know any info on these two schools.
  9. Well I didn't know that I only needed 7 more credit hours to get my Associate in Science at the school that I am at now, and have been conditionally accepted at FSU here in NC. I have decided to go for my BSN in Nursing since I have made it this far and than go on for my NNP or CRNA degree. Just wanted some feedback and see if this sounds like a good plan to anyone else.
  10. I understand where you are coming from "bellabellebelle". We are getting there one step at a time. Good luck to you also and thanks!!!
  11. I too use to watch all those shows, I wouldn't miss an episode. Over the years when I had my children I always had such wonderful and caring nurses and they have inspired me to want to become one. I feel that I could make a difference in someone's life. Tonite while at the hospital one of my family members passed away and one nurse in particular was very compassionate the whole time and that really makes me push myself to become an RN.
  12. Thanks "wordsofmymouth" for all the advice and good luck to you also: )
  13. It seems easier to just go for your RN especially if you plan on furthering your education. Go luck to you and hang in there!!!
