  2. i turned in my application may 22nd for the LPN to RN transition program! im freaking out man! aghhh and you guys are all worried with your 3.5 gpa's ???! ! yo I have a 2.9 GPA, but i scored a 69.3% overall,on the teas, and i got 70% on reading and 84% on math! will that even it out or something?? 84% in math, im usually not even good at math, that has to count for something! i been working in a locked dementia floor for 3 years.... maaaan i needa get my RN before i start getting dementia myself! melissa brown cmon throw a dog a bone yo!
  3. I chose to become a nurse because of the fact that I would be giving people the greatest gift of all, their health. I'm just going for an LPN and slowly work my way up while working. Not exactly sure what specific field I would want to work in, since I'm not even in nursing school yet. I'll see what the world brings to me when I get in.
  4. I heard it's mostly because there's just not enough nurses willing to teach, more $$ offered in the work field than the teaching field.
  5. That's the other problem I didn't mention, I can't retake the class since I got a C in it. I had to have failed the class in order to retake it. I should've mentioned that earlier, my bad.
  6. I was rejected from the nursing program at Daytona State College, I have 2.8 GPA, no A's, and 2 C's, but I've never failed or withdrew from a class. I just finished my first year of college, and knocked out all my pre-reqs this year. I know, my GPA is pretty weak, doing full time college and working was a horrible idea. The academic advisor pretty much told me to just work towards my A.A. degree , so I'll at least be working towards something while raising my GPA. Apparently the lowest GPA they accepted this year for the RN program was a 3.6!! But I'm going to persist and keep applying to that nursing program. In the meantime, I kind of want to transfer to a University and study something else like biology (since I already have 12 creds in biological sciences and I found it pretty interesting) and I'd hate to just stay at the community college taking easy fluff classes to just raise my GPA, and I'm pretty sure fin. aid wouldn't be happy about that. If I study something else and kept applying to the nursing program at Daytona State college, will they eventually accept me? Or will the fact that I'm studying something else hurt me from being accepted? I worked full time over part of the summer to create a cushiony savings so I can quit my job and get more focused with school! I'm freaking out man!
  7. I'm applying to the LPN program at DSC with a 2.8 GPA...WHOO I AM SCREWWEEDD :D
