  1. @pewinsto: hopefully someone will give up their spot to go somewhere else!! At least you that chance! Good luck;)
  2. I was thinkin the same thing as what smart99guy said!! 10 years ago.. who cares.. you are still working hard in your profession and that should be enough!! You are so positive and motivated!! God will bless us with a position in nursing school one day soon!!
  3. you all are the best, and I have never met yall! @prettymica: i have been around a lot of ppl. who have tried to become nurses, and has realized that noone hasn't been accepted on thier first try!!! Crazy! @smart99guy: thanks for the advice! I was actually thinking about doing something like that, but Im now looking into other schools... i will just have to settle with most school starting jan. and that is fine with me, so I am looking into Gordon College and possibly taking the teas next month! i may just apply for spring 2012 to darton and try to concentrate on the teas for the summer, and then apply for spring at darton... but who knows.. my plan B may change!!LOL Thank you all for the encouragement! You all will make AWESOME nurses and I can tell now just by how kind and generous yall are :)
  4. Thanks prettymica!!! Im VERY HAPPY for you guys and if its not meant to be, thats how God will have it!!! Im looking at other options along with darton so i will have more than one option!! Good luck to you guys but I know you and pewinsto are in!!
  5. @pewinsto: you guys will get in!! dont worry!! :)
  6. Thanks smart99guy!! And CONGRATULATIONS!!!
  7. Thank you so much pewinsto!! I'm a little sad and this is my first time applying for nursing school so I know I just have thank God and know that I have to keep pushing... also I used the book recommended but I haven't taken medical terminology yet.. so at least now I know how the test works also!
  8. Got my letter and was denied:'( now I'm just going to apply for fall semester and finishing my last two classes.... good luck to everyone else... can you guys give me any tips on taking the hesi for the second time??? Especially for the anatomy section...? Thanks:)
  9. One more prayer for tonight before bed for all of us and hope to see good stuff in the mail tomorrow...!
  10. Awww thanks we will all make awesome nurses! I can feel it! I feel like if this was even just a year ago, i would not have been ready... but now i feel like i am ready to start and be more attentive comparison to just last year!
  11. thats what i am hoping! im not a great test taker (not making excuses), but i know i could be a great nursing student if they would give me a chance! eventually a great nurse! We just need that chance! Hopefully tomorrow we can get on here and say we finally got our letters! I am going to be a nervous wreck for the rest of the night! Lol
  12. i know someone on here that got in with a 72 on the a&p part so im definatley staying hopeful!!i also know a few people on here who had the same hesi score and also someone who had a 3.0 gpa, and a 72 hesi score... so thats the only reason why i applied because those people gave me some hope lol
  13. Okay thanks!!! And my a&p score I thought was terrible, but people have told me its not bad... but i made a 68:( my overall score was a 79 but hopefully by the grace of God (and a lot of praying since Jan. lol), hopefully a miracle will happen!! Hopefully!
  14. bran29: meant to ask this with the other question, but did it also come in a big envelope??
  15. bran29: also, did it come in a big envelope???
  16. okay thanks for the info!!! :)
  17. Congratulations to you also bran29:)
  18. bran29: where do you live and what was your gpa and hesi score if you dont mind me asking?!?!
  19. That is what im thinking too!!! after i saw her acceptance post, I stopped eating my popcorn immediatley in shock because its now our turn to find out!!! LOL
  20. yolanda226: what was the postmarked date on your envelope???
  21. Omg!!! Congratulations!!! So now that means ours should be here soon!!!...
  22. Ive also seen on here someone with a 3.0 gpa and 72 on the hesi exam get in... very different, but that tells us that we dont know what they're looking for! Just like yolanda said in the beginning of this thread... she heard someone say that just dont look at the gpa and the hesi score... well the only thing else they have is the personality thingy right?? and maybe if you have finished the regents tests... IDK!
  23. I have only seen a few grades that were in the mid-high 80's... and thats just out the bunch... i just hope they dont expect everyone's hesi exam to be sooo high!
  24. Thats what I was going to do, but my dad insisted we drive down there that night, stay in a hotel and not be so tired that saturday morning so that worked out well... I know i would have been so tired if I did what you did! I was exhausted from the test afterwards! I heard someone got with a hesi score lower than mines so I hope Im still okay... I really hope they DONT expect everyone to score in the mid-high 80's... because that test was difficult when it came to the vocab. and a&p... I was thinking that between my score and your score were the averge scores becuase that test was long and exhausting...
