  1. Personally, I would pass on dating classmates. Nothing wrong with becoming friends during school, but save the dating for after graduation. Remember - Never s**t where you eat. As evidenced by the multiple horror stories in the replies, bad things can happen if the relationship goes south.
  2. I am in a similar situation as the original post. I am 43yo and will be starting LPN class in the fall then moving on to RN. I will continue working my job during the day while taking LPN classes 4 nights a week for 21 months. Luckily, my kids are 17 and 15, and they know and support my decision to return to school. I do like all of the advice on time management. It always help to know what you are getting into. Thanks everyone!
  3. I am in my mid 40s and making a career change into nursing, so I have been around the block a few times (including prior military). I would agree with most of the posts here that advise to just follow the rules of the organization (school or workplace). Most places don't have outlandish standards and they are designed to present a professional image. In the big picture of things, haircut regulations seem kind of trivial to get all worked up over. Just an opinion, that's all.
  4. Sarah, Not sure where you live but am in the same situation. I will continue working FT and take classes at night. If there is a Galen College of Nursing in your town, they have an LPN program all at night and they are working on getting some of the RN program at night as well. Hope this helps.
