  1. I honestly felt the HESI and NCLEX were a guessing game. I did not study for HESI and somehow managed to score 902. I took a Kaplan course for NCLEX and did some practice questions everyday for 2 weeks before the exam and passed in 75 questions. I felt it was a lot better knowing how to answer the questions, rather than the material. My friend studied everyday for a month (over 7 hours a day) and knew all of the material, but took 265 questions in order to pass. The questions on NCLEX vary so much, you never really know what you're going to get. I felt like I failed, but to my surprise I didn't! Good luck!
  2. Thanks for your help everyone! The Nordstrom here has them in 35 and 36, so I will go and see if the regular width fits me ok in those sizes. I found some really great deals on Amazon for danskos (new pairs anywhere from $80-100, depending on the color or pattern). Great deal compared to the department store prices around here (around $120).
  3. I also got a great job after months of interviews (I feel so lucky), but I am getting very nervous! I start in August with a 1 week orientation to the hospital, 3 month orientation to the unit with a preceptor, and a year long new grad residency through the hospital. I hope all of this extra support will help me during my first year. My job is on a tele/PCU floor, so they get very complex patients with a wide variety of diseases (literally everything). My biggest worry is that I won't know anything due to the wide patient population. So much to learn! AHH!
  4. I am buying a pair of Danskos online and cannot decide which size I need. I wear a 5.5 in American sizing, but tried a 36 in store and felt it was too big. Would a 36N (5.5-6N) or 35 (4.5-5) be better? I have low arches if this helps. Please give me advice!
