Hello to all SM New Grad. I just got hired at SM cardiac tele. I received a phone call on Tuesday saying that I will start work this Thursday. I was very excited. On Thursday I only had a computer orientation, which had a lot of information and the person who was teaching it did not go into details of what the nurses computer skills should be. On Friday I filled out paperwork's and did the compliance test. Now I am scheduled to start this sunday, but I have not had any general or nursing orientation or any of the core classes. I am going into the unit blank. I am really scared!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey thenursecalledmommy, I just got back from getting my fingerprints done at the HR. I talked to the nurse recruiter who also talked to the unit manager. I guess my manager just submitted all the paperwork today, I won't be part of this coming orientation but I guess I will be part of another orientation which will be happening soon. They just told me to sit and wait for a phone call from SM to get my physical done.

Hello, I was just wondering for those who have been hired at SM, did the unit manager call or emailed everyone for the physical and the orientation? I am going today to the HR to get my fingerprints done. I still don't know what to do after that.

Hello, I just got a hold of my unit manager today. She told me that the orientation will take place this coming Monday. I still haven't done my physical yet for the position. I don't know what I should do. I don't even know when and where to attend for the orientation? Can someone please tell me. Thank You.
