  1. I have really great grades in all my sciences/math. And even in socio/psych/non-science I have A's. That would be my only C+ in my pre-reqs, I'm just worried. The average GPA for my school's nursing program was a 3.9 - 4.0! It's crazy.
  2. I was about 12, in the 6th grade (middle school) I honestly decided to become a nurse. During our annual career day, the first classroom I wanted to visit was the room that had the Nurse! I remember her story-telling about her specializing in labor and delivery, her husband was a fire-fighter. I thought she had a perfect life! Ever since then, whenever the question 'what do you want to be when you grow up' came about, I always answered "a nurse!" Here I am first year in college, still trying to achieve that dream!
  3. Hi guys! Pre-nursing student also, how do you guys feel about re-taking a class for a better grade. I got a C+ in my English class (not me, my professor gave out only ONE A). I have mostly A's, and two B's in the rest of my pre req's. I want to re-take and get an A, is this a bad idea? PLEASE HELP!
  4. Hi All! My name is Princess, I am a freshmen from California and attending Cal State University East Bay. University of Hawaii has always been the school I dreamed of going to. I'm currently in the process of taking my pre-reqs for nursing, and i'm doing very well. I was wondering a couple of things about UH's Nursing program: 1. How hard is it for an out of state student to get in? 2. What's the average GPA for those who apply and get into the program? 3. Lastly, how is the program? I really am looking forward to applying! If anyone could answer any one of my questions, I would be very grateful. Thanks, Princess
