i called them monday and they told me to send them a letter justifying why i do not hold a license.. so i sent them the letter wednesday since i had to work the rest of the week.. still no changes on the status of my ces report.. i might have to call them again one of these days.. are you from the philippines too? did you apply for the same thing? it IS frustrating..=((

This is what it says in my account: HS DIPLOMA from (NAME OF MY HS) = REQUIREMENT WAIVED (so yes, they waived it) LICENSE VALIDATION FROM USA, CALIFORNIA = REQUIREMENT WAIVED (yes again, they waived this one too) TRANSCRIPT VALIDATION FORM FROM (NAME OF MY NURSING SCHOOL) = MEETS ALL PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS I think they waived the license validation from CA because it is a part of US and that they will only need to verify licenses outside US Jurisdiction. Iowa-BON asked for it though.

I talked to IOWA-BON before about the English Proficiency and they told me that it depends on CGFNS. So far, CGFNS only asked for my Transcripts (which my school already submitted 6 weeks ago) and that License Validation from the Philippines (which I do not have because I did not take the local boards). They waived the other requirements like my License Verification from California and my HS diploma. My boss offered me that job since December of last year. So this 3 weeks is already the extension.

Yeah but it's just frustrating that I already indicated in my application that I didn't take the Phil's board exam and that I'm not holding an RN License over there and they're still asking for a License Validation from the Philippines. It's just really frustrating to wait this long especially when your job's on the line.

The only problem I'm having is getting that CES report from CGFNS..Iowa did not ask me for an English Proficiency, they only needed my Transcripts, California License Verification, the fees and fingerprints, and the CES report from CGFNS. I think they have waived the English Proficiency since I already took and passes the NCLEX which is English-based. So the only thing we`re waiting for to get my Iowa RN License is that CES report because the rest have been submitted to IOWA-BON..CGFNS takes forever to process things. I'm gonna have to call them on monday cause I emailed them 4 times but I did not get any reply yet.

I called them but the voice on the phone said the office is close so I emailed them and will call them again on monday.. I hate their office hours which is only from 8am-12nn (EST)..

okay, I passed my NCLEX.. but I can`t practice as an RN just yet since I`m a foreign graduate from the Philippines. I got my licensure form state of California and now I'm endorsing it to Iowa. The IOWA-BON however needed a CES report from CGFNS so I applied for one. It's been six weeks since they received all the requirements needed from my school. And then today, I received an e-mail from them that says INACTIVITY NOTIFICATION and said they needed a License Validation from the Philippines which is impossible because I did not take the local board exam there so there is no license to validate. I e-mailed them and told them the same thing but no reply yet. What should I do? Anyone who had the same experience? I'm just really tired of waiting and if in 3 weeks I still don't hold an RN license here in Iowa, my boss will open the position to anybody. Please help me.. :crying2:

thanks for aLL the repLies! i applied online this afternoon and they actually waived my CA-BON licensure and my HS diploma..they just need my college to send them my transcripts..thank you so much! :):):) i hope it doesn't get too long for them to do the report and send to iowa-bon..so i can finally start my endorsement papers and work as an RN here.. i am so excited! :D:D and i actually received my license today..YIPEE!..:nurse:

oh, and what do i put on POST-SECONDARY NONPROFESSIONAL EDUCATION? cause i put my college in both POST-SECONDARY NONPROFESSIONAL EDUCATION and PROFESSIONAL.. is that right? please reply..

so i need the transcript of records AND a copy of my diploma from highschool AND college? is it okay if it's just a photocopy of my diploma or does CGFNS want an authenticated one? and can i pay the $60 through debit/credit card? THANK YOU SILVERDRAGON!

Hi everyone.. Hi passed my NCELX-RN and I am now ready to be endorsed here in Iowa. However, I need some requirements before that can happen. I need the CGFNS to submit a CES report to Iowa-BON. I just have some questions about it. 1. I am a graduate from the Philippines, what will I write in the POST-SECONDARY NON-PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION? 2. I did not take the local boards in the Philippines but I took the NCLEX-RN and issued with a license by CALIFORNIA-BON, should I mail the license verification form to CA-BON or not since it is a part of the US? 3. Do I need my high school to send CGFNS a copy of my high school diploma? 4. Aside form the Transcript of Records, does my college need to submit CGFNS a copy of my college diploma? 5. What is the e-mail address of CGFNS? Any input is appreciated, I tried to contact them but I haven't got any answers yet.. :):):)

i am glad to be of inpiration to you..not passing the nclex for the third time is hard but you just have to keep your faith and don't let anybody tell you that you can't do it..you can do it! open your heart to god and talk to him.. the reason why i am so confident that i was gonna make it this time is because i`ve trusted myself..god made me, somehow, i have a little part of the greatness of the lord and that i am capable of doing great things.. i will pray for you..trust yourself and trust god, when the anxiety is at its peak, dont worry..just pray..and you'll get through it..he'll get you through this.. you got this! you'll make it this time..god bless you, jo anne..:):):) kick the nclex`s butt! :up: and oh, congratulations, rn! how is everyone doing? i can't believe it's only 2 days since i took the nclex-rn..feels like forever!!! im getting my licensure from california and has been checking the website for my name since i have an SSN..the wait is killing me! LoL.. so far, im still getting the good pop-up but unless i see my name on the website, i won't be satisfied..LoL.. does anyone know how long, from the time you took te nclex, before the BON post it on the website? 'coz i still have to endorse it here in iowa so i can get licensed here and finally work as a nurse..:)

i will..i rescheduled my second attempt three times.. when you feel like you've got most covered and when you feel like you couldnt be any more ready, go take it.. you cant learn everything.. do your best and God will do the rest.. good luck on the review and exam...you'll make it, just keep saying you'll pass..and when in doubt, try to slap yourself once or twice, that should wake you up and get you back in track.. GO RN!

is this the first time you took it, jadecn? i`m sorry to hear that but i was unsuccessfuL during my first attempt too..'' take a break, say a week..then puLL yourseLf together, study sudy study.. if you feeL Like you need to review your nsg contents, work on the saunders.. then do practice questions in davis and la charity.. ive noticed in my nclex today that the questions are straightforward, they seem easy BUT the choices are very, very, very tricky..so you should really pay attention to every, single word.. and pray, God wants you to be better and the next time, you'll get it.. then success will be sweeter..i will pray for you, keep your chin up.. :)

good Luck on your exam tinkerbell04, ive never tried hurst but davis and LaCharity are enough to make you pass the exam..:) well then, congrats to us apatt2!

you'll be fine..as long as you studied and prepared for this exam..a day before your test, do nothing..pamper yourself, watch movies, just relax..and in the day of your test, pray and be ready to be an RN! claim it and it will be yours.. CONGRATULATIONS TO US, RNs!

if you used those 3 books or even just davis and La charity, YOU WILL PASS THE EXAM.. i highly recommend those books.. when are you taking your nclex?
