Hey, I'm also taking mine in August, but i believe mine will be on the computer. Right now I'm looking through the NLN review book that i picked up and brushing up on my math skills. I think each nursing school is different with how they determine who gets in or not. Some schools weigh your GPA and PAX results equally. Others look more at your GPA. I think the goal is to do as well as you possibly can on the PAX exam. I wish you the best of luck. I have (7) weeks until i take mine... Can't wait to get it over with though :-)

Thanks guys. This fall is just gonna be a little stressful b/c i'll also be applying for the nursing program at my college & waiting impatiently to find out if i'm accepted or not. And at the moment i'm studying for the Pax exam, which i have on Aug 14th.I just want to be accepted into the program already .....I 'm trying my best to just stay very positive.

Unfortunately, I don't know which professor will be teaching my section...they are just stated as "staff P". O well, i guess only time will tell. Goodluck to you this fall.

Thank you for your replies. I think i'm just nervous because i'll be taking it with microbiology. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that i have a good professor and once again will have to give up much of my personal life Thankfully, i'm in a commited relationship with someone who is very supportive and i know in the end it'll all be worth it...I just have to keep reminding myself of that from time to time lol. Do you guys know of any websites that will be a helpful studyguide? I'd like to start checking those out asap. Thank you!!

Hi Everyone, I've been lurking on this site for a few months now and finally decided to join becuse you guys seem to be very supportive of each other. And as someone who wants a career in nursing, i'm starting to see just how important that support system is. I've taken all of my pre-reqs except for microbiology, which i'm taking in the fall and will then be applying for entry into the nursing program for spring 2011. I'm also taking pharmacology this fall, as it fits the criteria for the required elective and i know taking it now will be very helpful to me in the future. I'm just a bit nervous about how difficult it is, so i wanted to learn what your experiences were and hear of any advise you may have to offer. So far i've been able to do well in my science pre- reqs, i recieved an A in both A&P 1 and A&P2, mainly becuse i thoroughly enjoyed them, and was very interested in the material. I'm hoping for the same interest in microbiology lol and also pharmacology. Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
