  1. Should I even bother getting my RN degree?

    JP_003 posted a topic in General Nursing
    I've gone back to school to finish my degree, but everywhere I read there is absolutely no need for RNs. Its not just a Louisville thing, because I really would enjoy moving to another area. Every other forum on this site has RNs talking about how there is no demand for experienced nurses let alone new grads. I remember 6 years ago they were paying off school loans, and giving signing bonuses just to get RNs. Now, they don't even want RNs. Anyone feel its just a waste of time and money? I'm really ******, because I left a decent job to pursue what the media tells us is a in demand job.
