  1. Wow, congrats! I'm going to be taking an online summer course. Good luck with your studies too.
  2. I just got the phone call today. I liked that it was so personalized. I am beyond excited!!!! & I am hoping to link up with other Otterbein U. class of 2014 students through here.
  3. Congrats!! My 1 year anniversary was on Aug 16th. My, it has flown!!!!
  4. Thanks again yall, and tusconash I am sure you did fine, keep me posted!!!! I am taking a much needed break!:)
  5. I passed!!!!! I am an RN
  6. CONGRATS!!!!!!! I knew you had passed it. Now only a couple more hours till I can see my results!
  7. They do participate in quick results here in NY. I took my test at 1PM, so I will be waiting a little longer than you for my results. All the people I have spoken to got their results about an hour late, so it might not be up on right the dot. I am trying not to go crazy over here while waiting! I went hiking today, it was very sunny out! Good luck to you! I know you passed!
  8. I hope that I can help because I did not even know where to begin when I started studying. On the Kaplan Q Tainers I got a 66, 71, 54, 61, 64, 65, 67 respectively. In the Q bank I got an average of 60% for 1010 questions. My friend who also too Kaplan was getting high fifties low sixties in everything and she just found out that she passed (in 75) today! I just think that the exposure is what matters, not the grades necessarily.
  9. LuckyLefty, I truly believe that if you ask for His help, He gives it to you in ways like that. Good luck. I know you passed! Keep me posted, and to Chris. I think that the questions in the Kaplan Q trainer are similar to NCLEX (just as much as the Q bank ones). I took so many questions form Kaplan that I felt like I knew what was coming before I saw the answers. If you feel like that, then you should be well prepared. If you don't think they are that bad, then even better!
  10. Hey everyone, First I just want to say that for some reason I can't send private messages on this site yet, so for those who sent me one, I am just gonna answer your questions in this post. MY STUDYING: I studied every day starting one week after I graduated (May 15). I took the Kaplan class over three weeks and did all of their Q trainers. I also did all of the questions in the Q bank. I did about 100 Qs a day and took time to read through every rationale for every question, I read every single answer even the really stupid ones and figured out why they were wrong. This took hours a day. I did two classes of drugs per day on drug cards. Only the important ones like dig & lasix etc.. I also used Sauders on days that I didn't use the Q bank. I did the 100 question content exam on every area to see where I was weak. I did cardio, resp, drugs, even eyes 100 questions at a time. THE DAY BEFORE THE NCLEX: I just went over meds and nothing else, no questions, just meds. I went out for an early dinner last night with my boyfriend. Tried to relax and take it easy. At the end of the night after dinner, I did a quick review some more meds. TEST DAY: I arrived way early and sat in my car looking over meds. Then I went to the testing center early and they said it was ok to go inside and test. I went through security and sat at my computer. Before I touched the mouse I asked God to grant me clarity and understanding and then I had faith. I started the question, no math (which I was afraid of), like a million select all that apply, and by golly the same meds that I studied in my car were on there (That's the work of God), some priority and as I clicked my mouse after 75 questions it shut off. I was there for an hour and a half. I thought that the questions were VERY similar to Kaplans format. I REALL Y THINK IT'S WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!!!!! HINT HINT!!!! The questions aren't the same, dont get me wrong but they are written similarly. I will update you guys when I know if I passed! Not doing PVT!!!! Have faith! Pray and take it!
  11. THANKS GUYYSSSSS!!!!! I will keep you posted. & good luck RPO,BSN on your results too.
  12. I'm taking the NCLEX tomorrow you guys! Please pray for me! One of my pals took it this morning and got 75 questions & she said that it was the least straight forward test that she has ever taken in her life. She told me that even the topics she knew cold (like specific diseases and meds) were asked in such a backwards way that she had to make educated guesses. Despite this panic, I still feel ready to get this DAMN test out of the way. So please pray for me! I will let you know how horrible it is tomorrow. So nervous, yet so ready. :redbeathe
  13. Aww thanks Kay, I sure hope so. I can't believe that my test is the day after tomorrow. The time approached very quickly. Good luck to you with your results!
  14. Wow congrats starfish! I can't wait to be in your shoes. I am feeling a little burned out with all this studying, so I can't wait till Friday! & to Passion for people (love the name btw) I will be continuing to practice a little bit of everything... I just read that one person got a rule of nines/burns math question, how random is that? SO I will definitely be doing some of those too!
  15. You guys were lucky then (no math, that's awesome!) I will let you guys know how it goes on Friday, I'm so ready to get this thing over with!
  16. Well that's great news! I guess I need to relax! Thanks guys!
  17. Just wondering whether the math questions on the NCLEX are straight forward, or are they disguised in a bunch of words and extra numbers meant to throw you off. I am taking the NCLEX this Friday and yes I have been practicing math, but it isn't my strong point! Never has been. & I don't want to be that person who fails the NCLEX based on that. Otherwise, I graduated in May of this year and I have been taking the Kaplan class for the last three weeks. I do about a hundred questions a day and my trainer scores are in the mid to upper sixties. I did ATI while in school. & I totally take this seriously. I have a job waiting that is based on whether I pass this test. & I'm just worried. Does anyone else have this issue? Your are welcome! Thanks!
