I think its the general requirement that you have two years experience before sitting the exam.Thats what I interpreted it as but could be mistaken.!:) I have in the past week read so many documents to do with immigration and such that my heads in a mess:rotfl: so check it out yourself to be sure!
  2. Websites for nclex practice would be fantastic! Have looked into going to california as u do not need cgfns but as i am only qualifying in july i will need two years experience before i can sit exam so might as well go ahead with texas! Thanks

  4. not going with agency, going to do this on my own as i have a specific place in Texas that i want to go to. Knowing my luck i will have to do extra courses to make up experience!
  5. Thanks sue. I have just applied on-line to do my cgfns. Tell me if i'm wrong but i think first i need my cgfns, then visascreen and then nclex, and greencard. i am going to attempt to do this myself as i want to go to a specific place in Texas.before i can get my greencard i will need an employer to sponser me. when i take my nclex i'm hoping to have a few interviews lined up. If any of this is in the wrong order please let me know.Have u any tips on taking the cgfns? Thanks for help up to now Gina:p

  7. Hi, read your post and thought this piece of info might help you. When i was at the nursing times career convention i spoke to a coupl of american recruiters about experienc, They said you need a minimum of 12 months but if i applied as soon as i get my PIN, then by the time the process greencard ect, i will have already gained required experience.Hope this is helpful.   8. hi, read what u wrote and am in same position. I graduate in july 2004 and want to work in texas. does having a placement on maternity for two weeks class as peadiatrics?

  10. how long has it taken you to get to yhis point in the process? i was hoping to be out there in 18 months or earlier....too optimistic?

  13. hello, silverdragon102, read that you r on the way to america from uk. I am in same position but at the beginning of the process, can i ask if you went through an agency or did it all yourself....application, visa ect.? I am not sure which is best, don't want to be ripped off by agency so if you have any advice would be grateful thanxs gina
  14. Just read that u are in the process of relocating to US. I am also wanting to relocate but wondered how hard it was to do. If you have any tips would be grateful.
