  1. Thanks for your informative post!!! I have been a Pediatric RN for 7 years now and am currently in school for PNP. I applied for the Naval Reserves, and had my interview and MEPS physical back in March. My packet went up to the board in April and I still have not heard anything yet. My husband is active duty Army, so the reserves is my option for now until I graduate. He retires in 5 years and I informed him that I plan on going active navy once he retires. Of course, if I need to go active before that, I would love it!! There are not many naval stations near Army bases, so I am nervous about being stationed apart from him. I know we can live on the coast of GA, Washington state, VA, Japan and some others. I am glad that the Navy (and AF) still use PNPs. The Army has removed their PNPs. They informed me that right now it is Army mission, so they need and recruit FNPs and Psych NPs. Sorry such a long post....
  2. I have just under 7 years experience as a nurse and my recruiter informed me that I would go in as an O-1 unless the nursing boards decided to give me something higher. As of yet, my packet was submitted in April and I am still waiting to hear back.....
  3. Thanks for the replies!!! It's just that I start feeling down when I don't hear anything.....She told me that I got great reviews for my interviews and everything looked great...I will keep trying to be patient!!!1
  4. My packet was submitted back in April and I have still not heard anything..last month my recruiter mentioned something about the flooding in Tennessee which is where their navy nurse board meets and how that delayed their reviewing the packets....I've emailed her a few times and she keeps telling me to be patient....has anyone else heard this? I would think that if this was the case, they would review the packets that were received first....I would hope that if my packet were rejected she would tell me and not keep me waiting for 2 months....
