  1. Hey guys Thank you all for responding even with game over news. So apparently I dug my own grave bc I was the reason he didn't give me a new rx. He did suggest it and was going to give me a new one but I told him I only used a few from the rx I already had and there was no need for a new one. I did actually call my dentist and explain everything to him and he was willing to do whatever he could to try to help me and said he would call anyone or write anything to whoever to explain the situation. I did go to the rn office today to try to see exactly what I should do and the secretary was pretty worthless and had no clue so I emailed XXXX XXXXX who I believe is the big wig rn on campus to tell me what my next step should be. I'll keep you posted...keep your fingers crossed for me!
  2. Hey everyone I really need anyone's advice on this please. I am going into my 2nd year at CCAC allegheny campus and recently took my yearly drug test. Long story short, a few days before I took my test I had taken a Vicodin for a root canal I had just gotten fixed and it never even occurred to me it would test positive on my drug test. I know, I know not too intelligent but true. So a few days ago I got a bill from where I took my test and if definately came back positive. My question is what the heck can I do? I don't do drugs but feel as soon as they get my results I'm game over. I did have a rx for Vicodin but from almost a year ago that I still had some left, again bc I'm not a druggie. Please oh please any suggestions as to how I could even begin to handle this??? Thank you
  3. Here's a question I'm hoping someone can help me with. I missed the uniform fitting day but know that there's a store located in Bloomfield I can go to. Problem is does anyone know if CCAC requires a certain brand of scrubs and will they be able to size me at the store?
  4. So just discovered this site and ashamed to admit I got way too giddy for my own good. I just scheduled for Nursing 101 day program at Allegheny and just wanted to see if there was anyone else who did the same. I'm all about making connections and study buddies ahead of time. Still freaking out about the admissions packet and the mile long list of things to do. So please let me know if anyone else out there is in the same boat as me. P.S I was reading this thread to get some much needed guidance and I must say dondk, you are my hero and thank you so much for all your great info.
