  1. I am taking ENG 1101 SCT 0100 SOC 1101 and human development... im going to retake the compass before I start my mathe remedials because I feel that I could achieve a better score.
  2. i will have a few extra bucks left over as well as my hope but how does that apply to my books? am i issued some sort of account or something?
  3. This is my 1st quarter @ Gwinnett Tech and my first time ever dealing with financial aid. I am sooo confused with this fiancial aid junk! The ladies in the office are making me feel like an idiot... Apparently my classes have already been paid for- Im just confused on how I can buy the books that I need without spending my own money first. If anyone has any clue please save me the trouble of having to go back into that dreadful office! Thank you mucho!!!
  4. Also... This may be a question I could ask the school but I want to know NOW I took Intro to Psychology 1302 at University of Texas- So Im wondering if that would transfer even though its a different # than the Intro to Psychology 1101 @ GT. And who would I ask about that? An advisor? Im such a newb to all of this info and paperwork.
  5. Yeah- I Graduated High School in 2004 so my SATs wouldnt apply otherwise Id be fine. I think Im going to do my English and Psychology this quarter and also study up on Algebra and try to ace it. Im only a few points off. JEEZUS who in the world needs to know the slope of y? I dont want to be an architect... I just want to be a nurse!
  6. I recently took the Compass test @ Gwinnett Tech and did not pass the math portion. I aced the English/Writing. Its been quite a while since I have even seen a math problem. Ive been taking advantage of the websites that my advisor had given to me. They have been somewhat helpful. Is or has anyone else been in the same boat? And are you going to/did you retest or take remedial math courses? Im a little worried that this will set me back
  7. Well Im guessing its impossible to finish my pre-reqs in one quarter so I suppose I will be applying in 2012 seeing as you have to have finished them before Jan to start in the fall (BOOO!) So I will just take my time and do the difficult classes first so that I can retake if I need to up my GPA > as whisky suggested... ugh this "2 year associates degree" will most definitely be a challenge.
  8. Geez Louise! That seems like a pretty big sign to have a larger dept. Im up for the challenge - but not in love with the number 40 @ the moment.
  9. Will do and much thanks - congrats on getting in! Do you have any idea how many people apply? 40 sounds like a small number :uhoh21:
  10. i will be attending the fall quarter 2010. just wondering if anyone is in the same boat... or if anyone has any advise.
