Hi I have just been given permission to sit the CRNE and am now wondering what is best way to get status so i can also work..can i just get a work permiot to start?? also can i work on temporary licence until i sit the exam ??...

what do newly qualified registered nurses make in toronto/brampton area?

having spoken to my wife it is definately toronto area we want to go..we just loved it there when we lived there...she was teaching so thats how come we go to be there for a year..we also want our son brought up where he was born!! (plus getting out of uk is a good option at the mo!!!lol..) i will just have to see what comes of my elective placement in august..and apply for my registration and see what they say!

i think i may go to austrailia or nz intseaed..seems like hard work!!lol

gosh i thought places where crying out for british trained nurses!!!.....

i would like to come ass soon as possible for the reason that i am used to studying st the mo too..this would get me in the swing for the exam!!!

Every time i look on Toronto hospital boards there are loads of nursing job so how come Canadian nurses cant get jobs at the mo.?

hi i was hoping to get something from my elective placement in august. also my transcripts will be available early august so i was planning on applying for the registration then. As i am in emergency department at the mo. i have had pead, mh experience along with obviously adult. i know that getting a job offer would be the simplest way it is just the cno bit im unsure of!. i am applying for jobs here in uk at the mo but am just uncertain of how long i am going to be here/take before i can emigrate.should i just resign to the fact that it will take 2 years!!lol

Hi I am due to qualify form the bsc adult nursing degree in august and am desperate to come to work in toronto/brampton/oakville area asap. my family and i lived and worked in toronto for a year in 2005 and my son was born there (he has dual citizenship). I am coming to william osler hospital in august on a 4 week elective in the emergency dept and just want to emigrate soonest.i just need to come over with a job as we couldnt afford to live otherwise (we would have funds to support but wouldnt be happy moving wothout a job!) I am just in bit of limbo as i am not sure on what to do next? wait until august and see how elective goes? apply to cno (i already have paperwork!) and go from there.... any help would be great
