Hi Everyone! I'm new to the site and everything, but I just have a question regarding the traditional nursing pathway at mason. I am currently a student there in pre-nursing, and I am already anxious about applying to the program and my chances of being accepted. I know that it is super competitive an everything so I shouldn't really get my hopes up For those who have been accepted, what is the average GPA? And a student who had been accepted said that they look at more than GPA such as volunteer work and your essay, and TEAS. Right now, I have around a 3.4 GPA (I have A's in all my classes this semester except for a gen-ed, which I got a C in). Is this C in a gen-ed class really going to hurt my chances? If I have good grades for the rest of my classes, especially the nursing pre-reqs, do I stand a good chance? Also, on the resume for the nursing program, can you list volunteer work you completed in high school? Overall, if I have at least a 3.5 cum GPA, some volunteer work, a good essay, and high TEAS scores, do I stand a shot? Sorry about my freak out, I'm just already anxious about my chances of getting in and I really want to do nursing at mason. Thanks Again!
