  1. Kansas - both my husband and I grew up in KS, we are in our early 50's and are ready for a change, and we both love upstate NY. but I don't know much about jobs etc for RN's.
  2. Hi: My family and I are thinking of moving to Plattsburgh NY. I am an RN with 10+ years experience and would like to know if there are jobs in that area and also is it possible to work in Canada and live in US. Any pros or cons to living in this area? Thank you for any advice. donnomo
  3. Hi Everyone: I'm new to this site and I'm looking for info about upstate NY. My hubby and 18yo son and I are thinking about leaving KS and moving to NY. I'm looking for info about where to move. If this site is not the one I need could someone please suggest a site. I have been an LPN for 20 y and have had my RN BSN for 10 years. We are looking for a town of 30,000 or less, with easy access to mounations, rivers, lakes. We looked at the Ithaca area but it seems very expensive and the RN wages at the local hosp were a little disappointing. We are now looking at Plattsburgh NY. I would like to be 2-3 hours from the city, but the men in my family are more interested in fishing. Plus where ever we are I will be closer to NYC than I am now. So any suggestions on where we can find; scenery, reseasonable rent, a close hospital and college, and good wages I would appreciate the info. Thank you!
