I am going to nursing school as a second career (I was a secondary Biology teacher), so I went a little overboard to make sure I would be accepted somewhere and applied to multiple programs.... Now I have been accepted to three different ones: two ADN programs and one BSN program. I was hoping to get some input from people familiar with these programs.... I am at a loss as to what to do! I was accepted into the Hinds CC ADN program, the Pearl River CC ADN program, and the Delta State University BSN program; all entering in the Fall of 2010. I currently live in Jackson with my fiancee'. My family lives 30 minutes from PRCC. I have no real experience with the Delta area. Several people have mentioned to me that while ADN and BSN graduates are paid the same, BSNs are more competitive in the job market. They also said if I wanted a BSN eventually (to go forward with the MSN, for example) that it's easier to get one in the first place rather than do one of the ADN to BSN bridge programs later.... I just don't really know anyone that is enrolled/has completed any of these programs, so I am looking for any sort of advice or guidance.... Thank you so much for your input!
