Thanks for the reply. Are you in school too? Anyhow, I know it's a tough market out there right now. Nursing is where my heart is, so I am sticking with it despite how difficult it may be to find work. I should have stuck with it when I was in school my first time around, back in the early 2000's.
I should add that I have an interest in behavioral health. Do LPNs work in that field? My aunt has been an LPN since 1975 but she's worked in OB/GYN and Ped's, so I don't have anyone else to ask. Thanks.
I was wondering what kind of jobs are available to LPNs? I am currently taking my last pre-req for the RN program at GCC. I am thinking about applying to the LPN program at Estrella because it looks like I'll be waiting for awhile to enter an RN program. Do you think experience as an LPN would help me find work when I become an RN? Would it be irrelevant?
Is anyone attending the RN program at Everest? I am currently taking BIO 201 and MATH 121 @ GCC, thinking about enrolling at Everest this summer though. I'd like to hear about your experience. Thanks :)
I am also considering Everest for the RN program. I am in AZ and Everest IS regionally accredited here (meaning the degree does transfer to ASU if you're interested in obtaining a BSN).
