CU Denver BSN Essay
I was just accepted into the program for this summer. So, in my essay I wrote a lot about nursing characteristics. Such as a mentor, friend, etc. I didn't really say like a nurse does this and this. Good luck!

UC Denver Summer 2011 BSN!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations!!!!!! I also got accepted into the June BSN program at UCD however I am not in the accelerated program, just the traditional. I cried when I read my letter lol! I didn't think I was going to get in because of how competitive it is and also I was hearing a lot of people saying they were rejected so it scared me! Do you know what the exact date in June is?

I had a similar experience with my grandma, and I am definitely talking about that in my essay. I guess I never really looked at it that way. I was more focused on other people and cultures and how they challenged me. It never crossed my mind that age groups could be considered diversity. I will have to think more about it. Thanks again. This is really helpful!!!

I wasn't trying to be snippy, I was simply asking what she meant by putting myself in diverse situations. I had no idea they meant volunteer situations. I think you misinterpreted what I said.

Well how am I supposed to put myself in diverse situations? And, I need one of those diverse situations to challenge my core values. Do you mean like go to an ethnic carnival or something like that?

So, I found volunteer work! I am excited, I think it will help out a lot. Do you think it would be dumb to write about critical thinking skills I used on an exam to figure out a short answer question? for the part of the essay where it says to name a time you used your critical thinking skills?

CU-Denver Nursing Program
That's awesome. I am registered for a CNA course starting in October so I am hoping I can find a job and work until June if I get in. I did that so I can say in my essay that is how I am trying to prepare myself for a career in nursing. For your CNA job did you start in long term care or were you able to find a job in a hospital?

CU-Denver Nursing Program
It will be worth it definitely! Were you working in a hospital or anything of that sort when you applied? Like a CNA or something?

CU-Denver Nursing Program
Thank you so much! I am not really worried to much about my GPA. I just don't have a lot of volunteer experience. I am applying to the program in August, for the June start date. I registered for a CNA course over the fall that way I can hopefully work until the classes start, and I want to mention that in my essay for my prepartation and motivation. I am just so nervous. I am going to start my essay as soon as this semester ends in a week! COngratulations on graduating :) Thanks

Does anyone know how many times you can submit an application to CU denvers nursing program? I know that once you submit, if you don't get accepted you are automatically considered in the next cycle; but what if you get denied that time too? Can you re submit after that? Any advice on CU-denvers nursing program and what helps with admission would be great!!! Thanks :)
