  1. The specific job requirements is that I do staff training, visits, care plans, etc. I called to the Dept. of Health and they stated that the rule of thumb for having "home care" experience is 1 year of working in that type of setting but it does not clearly state that in the rules and regs. I am very confused and cannot get a straight answer from the dept. of health or the state board of nursing.
  2. I currently work at an Assisted Living Facility in Minnesota. I am an ADN RN and was wondering how I can become a home health nurse. It states in the rules that in order to teach a person home health tasks that I either need to be a home health nurse, have a BSN, or have experience in training in home health. How can I go about becoming a home health nurse? Does anyone know what experience in training that a person may need? I was an LPN for 2 years and have been a RN for almost a year. Thanks for your help. Amber
