english speaking nurse moving to germany

hi sorry for the late reply. the first thing for you is to learn german language as it is the most important in Germany to work as a nurse.I would say its not very difficult to get a job as nurse in Germany but its challenging. If you are capable of speaking, reading, and writing in german so its very easy to go through one year of recognition "Anerkennungsjahr"which is quite easy.after you are done with it so you will need to go through oral, written and practical examination.as a matter of fact i dont know much about the oral and written exams but i know that the practical exams is quite easy.you have to prepare a patient regarding his medications,Insulin if he is diabetes patient, change the wound dressing, etc. everyone has to go through this procedure if he is not from EU.The nurses are not being paid good in germany and its different from hospital to hospital and it depends on your years of experience and tax classes.if you are married and have children then you will be paid more than a single person but you wont get more than 2000 to 2300 net maximum (only nurse with good experience and marital status of married with kids).most new educated nurses get paid only 1500 to 1700 euro net per month. hope it will help you.

english speaking nurse moving to germany

hi dear actually its pretty different to work as a nurse in Germany but as far as you concern there are some steps that you have to go through it before working as a registered nurse in a hospital.I am a german nurse and working in hospital and i know pretty much about the german system for nurses. First of all u need to learn how to speak ,write and read german.its very important to know the language fluently although there are some foreign nurses from poland and russia who dont really speak perfectly german but they solve their problem with their broken German.oh no one speaks perfect german in germany even not the germans cause its a very difficult language.secondly you have to do a one year volunteer work in German hospitals through a german school which is responsible for international nurses which is called recognation year.after one year you will be able to go through a written ,oral and practical exam and if u pass it then you will be allowed to work as a nurse in Germany and you will obtain a german certificate.but remember that the recognation year will be not paid.i hope that this information will help u .if u have any other question then ask me.
