    Terminating a contract/Buyout contract

My understanding is that your employers are the ones that breached the contract. Review the contract if it states that they can "cure" the breach within a specific amount of time. So first, inform them formally of their breach. If they did not 'cure" it in time you can send them a letter to terminate the contract because of the breach. Based on my little knowledge, they cannot revoke your green card. They can only notify the INS of any wrongdoing on your part. And ofcourse, it is best to seek legal advice or representation in the state concerned.

    NMC processing timeline

hi lexandra, you should email them at overseasapplication@nmc-uk.org attach in your email the scanned nmc application form completed and signed, together with the scanned copy of your ielts result. you will receive an auto response email from them. the nmc pack 1 will then be delivered to your address.

    UK vs. Philippines

Hi neznaj, it would be a very bad idea to go on NVQ courses from what I have heard. It is a waste of time as you cannot convert your visa from student to work once on NVQ unless you have finished the course. If i am correct that is a minimum of two years. I sugggest that you work first in our country as a way of serving it, i find it horrible to say that you just get the experience in the Philippines and leave to serve another country. The bottomline is NVQ is a waste of time esp if you are qualified to work in UK as an RN.

Looking for RN job options in England

i don't know how you could think that i am suspicious of you two. ofcourse i think that you are telling the truth. if i am ever 'suspicious' (in your words) that would be of the uk employers coming here to recruit nurses. and to your questions, they are nhs hospitals. i have checked nhs.uk and their websites to see if they are really existing and if they do have vacancies and surprisingly they are and they have. one is even in the top 40 nhs in the uk and in the 75 best places to work in the uk. and yes i have received a job offer and many who already have their decision letter from the nmc have already flown to the uk. so i think that they are pretty authentic. what is odd to me is how they can do this if they have to recruit first in the uk and EU. now i am not questioning your claim here. i am questioning the employers. ok. peace out! the truth is, i really appreciate the information you've given.

    NMC processing timeline

i think once you have sent them an email requesting for an initial application, pack 1 will be sent to you approx. 3 weeks from the time u emailed them. once you have completed and submitted pack1 with the appropriate fee, it takes another 3 to 4 weeks to receive pack 2. pack 2 has lots of requirements, so it is within your power to process it at the least possible time because you have to go to your college of nursing and the licensing body in your country. once you have sent pack 2, and all the other documents have been submitted (e.g. docs from you school, licensing body, and referees), you should wait for the decision letter for 20 days or so depending on the completeness of the docs. it may go back and forth if you dont accomplish them correctly.. all the time line that i have given are approximate based on my own experience.

Looking for RN job options in England

i find it really odd for nurses based in uk to say that it is hard to get a nurse job in the uk, as i have just attended two job interviews with uk employers here in the Philippines within a month. hmm,,?

blackpool victoria hosp or northwick park hosp?

Hi! Thanks so much for those links. i have actually been doing a lot of researching on both hospitals and I have come across those nasty issues before plus the low ratings given by patients. I have also read the defense of the hospital. I will be doing a lot of thinking. Thanks again.:)
