Actually my husband is the one at COT and I am trying to go to Dining Out with him.

OK, so I just got my information regarding the graduation activities and I was wondering why will be done about children. My daughter doesn't know any of my family so I can't leave her with them for extended periods of time. However, I do not want to miss any of the programs that will take place. Is there anything that I can do? I am hoping that my sister or aunt will be able to join me and watch her during Dining Out.

I'm not going but I'm anxious because this is the first time my husband and I have been apart for more than a few days. I guess it will give me a taste of what deployment will be like. Luckily the moving company called, and we will be able to move before he has to report to Maxwell. He still doesn't have all of his uniform pieces because Seymour Johnson doesn't carry everything. That really sucks! We may try to go to Keesler to pick up the rest since we will be there Saturday or Sunday, and he will just need to get it altered when he gets to COT. He was also contacted by his instructor at NTP. It is moving really fast now after months of waiting!

Switching focus back to ribbons and such...can i wear my stuff at COT, I didn't find a specific reg in the "36's" as follows: USMC Good con w/star, korean defense service medal, Nat. Def Service medal, Sea Service deployment, Meritorious Unit Commendation w/2 stars, Navy unit Comm w/ star, and Global war on Terr service medal? If I wait to buy mess dress at COT, when would I have time to buy and alter them since it is required for Oct 18 class?

Yay for progress!! We got the form faxed to our recruiter yesterday, and she supposedly turned it over to AF personnel. (We will be following up on Friday if we don't hear anything by then.) We also got military ids and added me and our daughter to DEERS. (Got a printout after the fact and we need to update the addresses.) Also got general, TMO, and id Power of Attorney paperwork. Now we are just waiting on orders so we can set up the move. Time to have a yard sale!!

I'll be sure to pass that along. We are going to get ids and Power of Attorney paperwork done tomorrow. We also plan to purchase most of his uniforms.

He called AF personnel. The number is the email response we got is 210-565-2773. The recruiter was a little perturbed that he called then, just so you have a heads up.

They are holding his orders because a Form is missing....UGH!!!! Had he not called we never would have know. His recruiter was just twiddling her thumbs waiting. A little follow-through never hurt anybody!

What does is the graduation on and do you have any hotel recommendations?

The guy I talked to at base legal said he needed his id. Maybe he was confused. Hopefully we will hear something between now and the 21st. My fingers are crossed. :)

Can he also get his military id that day because we need to get PoA paperwork completed?

Can we get on base to buy DH's uniforms without his orders? He wants to go on the 21st, but we aren't sure we will have them by then.

Has anyone gotten their orders yet? Hurry up and wait...I hate it! :)

My husband commissioned on the 6th so I was just checking. Hopefully you will hear something soon.
