Question about rectal exam
I didn't catch this before, but you're in OKC - I'm in Tulsa. What about going to see someone at the OU Health Sciences Center in OKC? I'm sure they'll accept ANY insurance and they'll definitely have a female on staff. Maybe this is something you could look into next time I never thougt of that, don't they only only see students at OU. Do you have any info on prices or a website

Question about rectal exam
I appreciate everyones help in this matter. From this discussion I have realized that it is up to the doctor weather or not to do a rectal. I know some of you have got them some have not and apparently age don't matter. It seems weird that the doctors are not standardized in their exams and thanks again for all your help

Question about rectal exam
You make a good point my doc was a real doctor family practice(I am still under my parents insurance) it was not a cheapo clinic maby that is the difference And before the exam I met with the doc and he explained everything to me and when he mentioned the rectal exam I asked if we could skip it and he said it was important and explained the resaon for it and I reluctantly agreed to it (I still did not really want it) and when I got home and read online and a lot of sites said not required under 40 I got upset then I asked my friends and family about it and some of them had not even heard of it (except mom she has same doc) then I came on this site to ask the question if it is common for someone under 40 to recieve a rectal exam and a lot of you have said yes Thanks
