  1. We didn't have to come an hour earlier. Clinical normally start at 630 becasue we need to be there for 645 report. There is virtually no setting up for clinicals. There is clinical paperwork due. Like nursing diagnosis, and other things that are required for your patient. There is a paper due in OB, and Psych that is pretty extensive. There is also a family project due also in second semester. I would say that 1st semester was difficult and stressful, 2nd semester got easier, and noe 3rd semester was loaded with info, so was also stressful. I'm hoping 4th semester is kinda laid back too.
  2. You know what we didn't have an option. The first semester we just got our schedules and showed up. Everyone was there at the same time. Since our class was the first class going through the revamped program there are gonna be some differences between ours and yours because they changed the things that didnt work for us. I would say that it all depends on whether or not you are a morning person. I'm not sure of your times though. We had to be in class and lab all day. Good luck and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask any one of us on here or even at school.
  3. This one is for the people who got accepted in may 2010 but graduate in may2011. We took the Teas but no interviews. Acceptance for next year willnot go out probably until march or April next year. Good luck...
  4. I went to the bookstore today and talked to the lady there. She said that the three books that have the required package are the pharmacology, physical assessment, and Pathophisiology. She said that u can buy the code seperate but it would be $63.95 for each code so u would need three of them. She said any other books u can buy online. There are two nursing diagnosis books. She advised me to hold on buying the one by carpenito-moye, because they have switched the traditional track to the sparks + taylor nursing diagnosis pcket guide, and she thinks they'll do the same for the accelerated track. I hope this helps. It did help me and now I can look for the other books online for cheaper.
  5. I would recommend Huntington Place, good school system and about 15 minutes from the school.
  6. I plan on going to the bookstore tomorrow. I will get the info and let everyone know. Because I priced the books online with the bookstore and it was $866. So I need to see if there is some way around this because that is ridiculous. I'll update u guys tomorrow.
  7. I was confused for a while, because I couldn't find the group on facebook. But then I realized it was UTHSCA and not UTHSCSA. That might be the problem. There would probably be more members with that correction. Because the group will not show up at all if those two letters are different. Well I'm a member now.
  8. I'm on facebook. Let me know if you're going to do it or u want to do it together or what.
  9. Have u been able to get to the syllabus online for any of the courses? I wish I had more info, but since they just revamped the accelerated program it's kind of all question marks. I just hope it goes smoothly... Good Luck..
  10. Are there any people out there that have been accepted to the 2010 Accelerated program?
  11. I applied to for the accelerated program and got in. Start date is May 20 for orientation. Does anyone know anything about the accelerated program. It seems to be very different from the generic. Or is anyone else going to start in the accerlerated program in May?
