Thank you for your insight. :) I'm not jumping into anything with both feet just yet, just looking at my options. Thanks again though, it helps to get opinions that aren't my own, just-failed-at- the- finish- line- freaking- out opinions.

Here's my situation. I have been an LPN for 10 years. I was just in a traditional RN program but failed to meet requirements the final semester by .55. I didn't fail out, it will still be a C on my transcript, it's just that the grading system is divided into three sections & if the top section doesn't meet a certain amount of points (56.25, mine was 55.70) they pay no attention to the next 2 sections where I had 96% in each section. I could probably go back & repeat that semester but not until January & I just don't know if I've got it in me to try to juggle a traditional program, my job, and my family obligations again. Like I have the past year. I do really want to be an RN though & I really believe I can do this. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against being an LPN, it was just always my intention to go on to RN then possibly BSN so I feel like I have unfinished business. :-) Sorry this is such a long post but this forum has been so informative this evening for me & has given me hope where I thought there wasn't any anymore.

I just submitted my application tonight & will be going to get my transcript submitted tomorrow. I saw where you can go ahead and start the transition course so I think I might go ahead with it while I wait for word from them, & just wait to register to actually take the exam until after I know for sure that they accept me.

Thanks you all for the pep talk yesterday and for the words of comfort today too. I really don't mean to sound so hateful, I'm still just in shock I guess. I do still have so many things to be thankful for, but I just really wanted this. Thanks again.

Failed the final semester by .55 now just trying to figure out where to go from here.

Tomorrow morning at 0900 I take my "final" final exam in the RN program. I am a mess right now. I really feel like I would feel better about going to take the NCLEX - RN than going to take my instructor created exam. They are sooo tough. I know, that's what nursing school is about, but I need a 74 on this final to pass the final semester and I am utterly scared to death. I've studied and studied & studied some more but just when I've finished content that makes me feel like "I've got this" I find stuff that makes me think WTH?!?!? anyway, I really think I'll do OK, but thinking that about 3 tests this semester is exactly what put me in the position to need a 74 on the final to pass :-/

Wow, thank you so much! This really helps ease my mind on a lot of things. Do you remember the advisors name that you spoke with? Also, have you taken the NLN ACE II tests yet? Those really scare me, I'm afraid I won't study all the right stuff. Thanks again for your help :)

Looking for any information on this program. I've been an LPN for 8 yrs & it's always been my plan to go on to be an RN. I would apply to my local college's traditional RN program, but from what I've heard it's impossible to work & complete the program. Also they have a 5yr time limit on your sciences & with as many times as I've had to start & stop & then start again, some of my science classes will be older than this. I'll have an associates in allied health in December so I think I'll only lack a statistics class & a gen Ed class on the 3000 or 4000 level to have all the prerequisites done. I'm really curious as to how much time is spent on a campus, what the clinicals are like & where you have to do them at, & how difficult it is to get into one of the mobility programs. I am an ADvantage case manager at a home health agency & my administrator is aware of my intentions to go back to school & is really supportive with flexibility of my schedule, I've been there almost 6yrs. Any help, advise, or insight is greatly appreciated.
