  1. New Prereqs required for the fall of 2011 Nutrition Statistics
  2. Hello, I am still completing my prerequistes; however, I know someone on this website who was 20 credits from a psychology major and got accepted. I think that the fact that you already have a bachlors in biology gives you a big advantage over other students. Well, that is considering that your GPA is good.
  3. First they accept you into the school. Acception to the school does not mean acceptance to the nursing program itself; however, if you have no repeats or "w"s then you should be fine. You will soon know if they accept you to the program.
  4. They did the same thing to me. Accepted to the school but not to the nursing program. BTW even if you have a high GPA but have one W in science. They will deny you. That's what happened to me.
  5. You should send them your transcript asap; then after like 2-3 weeks they will let you know.
  6. HI JENNIFER023, i HAVE not been on this site for a couple of days. I've been so busy with work and school. I already sent my application for the fall of 2011 a couple weeks ago. I feel like I should know already. BTW, I am currently enrolled in micro. I dont know if that makes a difference. thanks.
  7. Does anyone know if they started looking at applications for fall 2011 yet?
  8. Thank you nurse Kitty, I applied early so that I can get a descision early. They have all of my paperwork so all I can do now is wait. But i'll be patient. Good luck
  9. I guess that i'm the only one applying for the fall 2011 so far. Anyway, today I logged in my VIP page and it sated that my application was being reviewed. Does anyone have any idea of when I will hear something.
  10. I spoke to NSU and they want my highschool transcript since I do not yet have an A.A. Is that true?
  11. Hello all nova hopefuls fall 2011, I submitted my application a few minutes ago. I guess now the wait game begin. Currently, I have a 3.60. I am still enrolled in micro lecture and anatomy lab 2. Lets encourage each other through this long process. I will keep all of you updated on new information; however, you should check out the previous threads about NSU. They are really helpfull. Good luck to everyone.
  12. what a lovely idea.
  13. Congratulations.... Well you deserve it.... WHOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yeah::yeah: Good job....:up:
  14. Please make sure you do well. I'm sure you would hate to go back and wish you had done it differently. I know a lot of people who regrett not doing their best while there were able to.
  15. I learned a great lesson early in college which helped me a lot. Use RATEMYPROFESSOR. It has been my lifeline. I graduated highschool in 2009, and I will graduate with my AA this december while working full time. I am extremely proud of that; however, I must say that RATEMYPROFESSOR had a lot to do with me having great teachers and a great GPA. Good luck.
  16. I had really good grades in highschool. I was sort of a nerd. Anyway, what helped me the most with my chemistry online class was that I had AP Chemistry (advance placement ) in highschool. I think my highschool GPA was a 3.9
  17. I work full time so It might be different for someone else. I also took 8 classes this past summer. Here is my schedule for the first 6 weeks of this past summer. 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM (work) 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (school; I get an extend lunch to attent school. fortunately school is right next to my Job.) 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM (work) 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM (drive other campus of school twice a week for 1st 6 weeks. 2nd 6 wees drive 4/week) 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM (Get something to eat. look over notes wait for class to start.) 6:00 PM- 8:30 PM (Class; I'm usually extremely tired at this point but I tell my self that it's worth it.) 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM (Drive home) 9:00 PM - 9:30 PM (Shower and rest) 9:30 PM - 11:00 PM (look over my online classes and study) My day is usually over by then; however, if I have a test the next day, but that is only once a week for six weeks for anatomy one. 11:00 PM - 2:00 AM (time to cram for my next test. If not I fail the test. failing for me is a low B.) 2:00 AM - 6:00 AM (Sleep; make sure I set alarm if not I know I will not wake up.) 6:00 AM - 7:45 AM (Shower, eat, drive to work so that I can get there early to look over notes for test.) 7:45 AM - 8:30 AM (look over notes because I really want to get an A in the test.) It was extremely hard but so worth it in the end. Same schedule for the second 6 weeks; however, instead of anatomy one, its anatomy two and its actully harder because instead of driving to school after work twice a week, I had to do it four times a week. Also, forget about weekends, its time to catch up on online classes. However, this is my last semester, I have extremely easy classes, except for micro and Thank GOD I only go on campus once a week for lab which is not so bad. At the end of the term I went from a 3.71 to a 3.60. But definately worth it since I wanted to graduate with my A.A. this december.
  18. Before anatomy, chemistry I had a 3.71. After those courses, My GPA went to a 3.60. if I make straight A's this semester (wich I should since i have really easy classes except micro) my GPA will go to a 3.83 the least. I am in a community college and this is my last semester.
  19. I think you are going to the orientation. I went about two weeks ago. It's very general. They tell you nothing new besides what is on the website. When I asked specific questions regarding my transcript, the guy did not want to answer me. He claimed that he is not allowed to do that. When I went. It was only a good friend of mine and myself. Set up an appointment. I think that since they have the orientation everyday it does not get so busy on wednesdays night. also, I was hoping that A.O. was in the office but the guy told me that she does not work nights and that the best way to contact her is by email which is true. She always replied quickly to my emails. Good luck.
  20. Hi there, I was also enrolled in nutrition but I dropped it since Nova does not require it. also, you should let you GPA and Essay speak for themselves.
  21. All of my hopes are on Nova and I am confident I wil get in. Thanks.
  22. Thank you for your reply. I'm going to drop the lab asap.
  23. Hi there, I have a quick question. Did anyone get accepted to Nova without taking Microbiology lab. I am enrolled in the lab right now but I think I want to drop it before the drop period so that it does not leave a "W" on my transcript. Thanks.
  24. I like the sound of that. I too, will have to quit my full time job; however, I know that the next time I work, I will truly be happy and look foward to coming to work.
