  1. Well I took my boards today, 75 questions. I did the Pearson Vue Trick and according to that I passed. I took the Hurst review and really liked it.
  2. Hey everyone, I graduated from the Tulane program May 2011. I take my NCLEX Monday. I loved reading this site to find out all the scoops on the program before I started. Watch out, there is a lot of negative stuff on the program on here. If you go into the program with "Nursing school is the devil" attitude, you will do just fine. It will be hard. The people who had a hard time were the ones that came into the program having such high expectations for everything: the teachers, Tulane, the school in general, were the ones who were writing the dean, president and who ever else would listen to their complaints of not passing the test or complaining about instructors. Just be cool, study, and stay out of classroom drama.. You will do just fine. :)
  3. Can someone please explain this trick to me?? I take the boards Monday and heard about this in the past, but am unclear on what to do. Ps. I'm kind of freaking out on taking the NCLEX..
  4. ha! I see what you mean. I just want to finish this thing. Graduate in April, God willing. 1st ATI test on the 11th, i'm a little nervous about that. The only reason I chose this program was because I couldn't be unemployed any longer than 10months. Other accelerated programs were longer and I couldn't justify it given my situation. At least you are done and graduated Kilroy, right? Or are you in Tulane 2?
  5. I start the Tulane program end of next month and our pharmacology book is Clinical Drug Therapy: Rationales for Nursing Practice (current edition) by Abrams, Pennington.... Also, we'll be using Dosage Calculations (8th ed.) by Pickar and Abernethy. I'm sure y'all we'll be using the same books as well.
  6. lol, was that run from the program or run for excercise? I actually do run, so I'm hoping that's what you meant. That is how I keep my stress levels low. Thanks for the advice Kitti. May I ask your age, kids, ect?
  7. I've heard more bad than good things on the program, but the main thing I hear is that people are graduating and passing NCLEX and are becoming nurses. I am doing it because it is 10 months, I can't afford to be unemployed longer than this. Any helpful hints for me, beside run? Maybe the teaching and testing habits of any of the instructors? I appreciate your honesty Noladancer. I guess i'll let everyone know how I feel next year when i'm finishing up too.
  8. Noladancer, why the change of heart?? You were so happy go lucky before. Just think you are almost done!!! I start Tulane in July. I just want to pass and get through it. I'm expecting the worst hell of my life. Hopefully having this mindset going in, might be beneficial. I met a guy the other night who is graduating from the EJ class in July. He didn't have to many kind things to say, but I've never known anyone to enjoy nursing school.
  9. I took Old Testament Survey. Weekly discussion paragraph with quiz, I believe 3-4 test. I came out with a 102. A welcomed break to the Chemistry i'm currently in.
  10. here is the link to the transfer equivalents, http://www.ololcollege-edu.org/content/admissions-applying-to-olol-college-admission-requirements-transfer-applicant-transfer-equivalents i just looked on here and saw what was acceptable at other schools and found a class similar. i took a online old testament class at pearl river community college. easy a for sure.
  11. Hey Whodat and whoever else got accepted into the Tulane Nsg program with OLOL, what are your first names? I have everyone's email address from Nakia's email she just sent out, plus there is a OLOL attachment with list of names and emails. I can look some of you up and quit using this all nurses forum. Michelle
  12. Has anyone gotten the acceptance package in yet? The one we are suppose to get after we fax/mail the acceptance letter in? I know we are also suppose to get a package in that has to do with getting our background information together and other items that Tulane will need. Has anyone gotten that?
  13. I was just accepted to the Tulane program and i'm still in Chemistry and a online old testament class, so I they don't hold it against you. Good luck!
  14. ha! well I better start "messaging it up"! I might be able to get the notes as well. I have 2 people asking friends of theirs who were either in the regular ADN program or the accelerated one for the notes. I'll keep ya'll posted.
  15. I guess I'll be the only one commuting. I live in MS. I'm sure my situation is a little different though. I'd like to get some of your emails if I may. I"m tired of communicating through this thing. How can I private message? I think I have to pay for that huh??
