  1. I am another of those who have spent 20+ years in the IT industry and have burned out. I am looking seriously about what it will take to become a nurse. I know that my age at 45 and the fact I'm male isn't an issue, but I do have a minor disability. About 5 months ago I suffered a CRVO and have lost most of the sight in my right eye. My left is fine at 20/20 corrected. I've adapted fairly well to life as a monovision person. Is it going to be an issue? I don't know of any nurses with this sort of problem. Thanks for any advice (hopeful)
