  1. Thanks L&DRN03. The reason I asked was because I have been told conflicting facts about it and I know certain hospitals its a skill that needs to be checked. I am currently a travel nurse and would prefer to know what the texas BON says about this in regards to the Scope of Practice because If I am reading it correctly, it's not part of our scope of practice to put in IUPC.
  2. Does the State of Texas RN scope of Practice allow Nurses to AROM and Place IUPC? I have researched this, looked in the BON-TX and have not found a definite answer. I have been told and worked with nurses that have placed an IUPC but was also told the opposite that we cannot place IUPC. I currently work in a small hospital and I would like to know what is the State Scope of Practice in regards to this Issue.
