  1. Thanks for the quick reply. So basically, if I choose the OR, I would have to sit around for 8 hours making $2 or so per hour, away from home, with a small chance of actually getting called in to work. I guess I could study or workout. I don't know what my facility provides here in NC, but I didn't hear anything about an apartment.
  2. How do they work the "on-call" if you live outside the 30 minute window?
  3. As an ex-cop I could understand the chaperoning because it's across the board, but as nursing student, I find it odd that male doctors could be in the room alone with a female patients but not male nurses. This is disheartening because it makes me feel that there is a general distrust for male nurses. It would be like back in the police department, my captain could search a female, but I can't. (does'nt that seem odd) What? only male nurses can be pervs but all doctors are to be trusted. My bubble just burst.
  4. Most cops, believe or not, have an instictive desire to help people. That desire is tainted when we realize most people on the streets hate us. After we leave the job and adjust back to reality, we again feel the desire to help people. Money does have a large part to do with it ( the bills still have to get paid ), but it's definitely not the only motivation. In my case, I miss making a difference every day.
