Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing - Hard to get into??
My GPA for my BA was lower than a 3.0 as well. Thats why I never even considered the nursing program until I found out they only calculate your pre-req GPA. I have a long while to go before I even apply to any programs because I have all my pre-reqs to do and since Im working a full-time job I really only want to take 1 or maybe 2 courses at a time. AND I have to get all A's like you if I have a chance!! :) Congrats by the way on that! Getting all A's is a big accomplishment! Im thinking I will try to get into their full time program and get a part time job to keep some money coming in. I live with my boyfriend and he is so supportive for me to get into Nursing that he is willing to support most of the bills while a go to school. :redbeathe I am really happy for you about your interview!! Im sure you will get in. Thank you for all your help and support! Allnurses.com rocks!!

Thank you Starlette926! I have been reading up on the different threads and I have to say Im pretty nervous. I havent started my pre-req's yet (will start this summer) and I just received the NLN pre-entrance exam study guide. I will be studying my butt off this year because I am not the best test taker Did you get into the nursing program? If so, do you know the average GPA that was accepted into the program?

Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing - Hard to get into??
Hi All, Im considering trying to get into a private school first because my GPA isnt so high. I recently moved into the NJ area, but work in NYC (right next to PhillipsBethIsrael). First of all, they are extremely hard to get in contact with!! I've tried for over 2 weeks now and NO ONE is answering the phone. I've left over 5 messages in different departments and they're not returning my calls. Anyways... I really wanted to speak with a counselor over there but in the meantime Ill get info from you! BTW I looove this website, it has guided me through the start of my new life. Is it hard to get this school? Im really nervous because I messed up my first year in college but I really want (and deserve) a second chance. Can anyone tell me how many people are accepted into the program each year versus how many people applied? Is the GPA just calculated on the pre-reqs such as A&P Iⅈ Micro; Chem etc.. OR is teh GPA calculated over you entire college career? PLEASE HELP! :) Thanks everyone in advance!

Study time for NLN exam
Hi Paeonia! Your right about everyone having different studying habits. I will definitely focus more on the math and physics part of studying. This is also a career change for me. I was a Communication major in college and i work as an administrative assistant. I have always loved the sciences; but I didnt go through with nursing because I didnt think I could handle the responsibility of someone else's life. Im gonna go for Nursing now, but the thought is still there. Are you in a program yet or just starting like me? Good Luck!

Study time for NLN exam
I would say yes. As much information as you can get would be good. I am trying to get into a certain school that tells us which requirements would be useful. Also, the actual NLN website also lets you know what else, if any, to study.

Study time for NLN exam
Hi All, I am new to allnurses.com (just started today). Does anyone know the amount of time one should study for the NLN exam. I am NOT a math person by any means. If I start now I have a full month to study? Is that enough time?
