  1. Its rough trust me. I am doing it atm. I feel overwhelmed alot. BUt i have passed everything so far and my HESI scores are dam good.
  2. A's in all the prereqs weigh in big time. I know people in program with me atm that have low gpa and nln but got in ok
  3. We are kind of on our own. If you have a bachelors and can afford to not work Check out Union university accelerated program. You are done in a year. I have a good friend there. She loved it. She graduates in December.
  4. I am currently a student in the program. I started Spring of 2010 and fixing to finish up ob. I had a GPA of 3.8, A's in ap1&2, micro, stats, and psychology. My nln score was a 167. If you dont get in the first time reapply. Alot of times if you are not notified you got in you are put on a list. If some of the students that applied and got accepted decline then they will continue down the list. Be sure to be prepared for this. It is quite a shock. I work fulltime and attend fulltime. The course load is a lot but do not get discouraged.
  5. We just finished test 3 over fluids and electrolytes in fundamentals. I am a very good student. My GPA up until nursing school was 3.8. I am struggling here in the way to study i think. I spent probably 30+ hours studying this test and no better than studying for test 2 for 3 hours. I cant break this low to mid 80 bracket. First test was an 86, second test an 82, this test an 80. Is there any special way to study that I can not get threw my thick skull. Im passing but i want to scream. I feel so disgusted with myself but I cannot figure out how to correct it. I would love to get atleast a 94 on the last test before the hesi and the final. the test is over nutrition and elimination. Can someone please direct me on how to study? Maybe just tell me what points to emphasize on or to cover extremely well. THanks.
  6. I am in fundamentals this year. I was told this is the hardest test of the semester. I have scored an 82 and 78 on the first two test due to stupid mistakes. I am a straight A student up till this point. I have had trouble developing a good study habit related to studying good content versus useless background content. What points should be stressed for Electrolytes? I am just trying to give myself some breathing room on the final. I realized where I went wrong on the previous two test. I have two good electrolyte books just trying to get some insight. Thanks
