  1. When I was in nursing school, the last semester was the most boring. Our main focus was NCLEX questions and such. Yes, it's boring; but you can graduated with your nursing degree, but if you don't pass the NCLEX, than the last couple of years have been a waste of your time. These last two months may be the longest thus far, but in a few short weeks your main focus will be the NCLEX and job interviews...and that's the tough part of nursing school.
  2. When you are in nursing school you have the grandiose ideas of the type of nurse you will be and your chosen specialty. When you get out you find out what nursing is really all about, you lose your innocence about everything you thought in nursing school. Make sure that nursing is something you really want to pursue and if it is go with it. Be open to all types of nursing and do not be close minded, thinking you already know what type of nurse you want to be.
  3. If this is a conviction charge, you may have to get special permission from your state board of nursing before you can receive your RN license. Your nursing school should be aware of your background check and advise you accordingly.
