  1. I don't have management experience. I have worked many times as RN supervisor.
  2. Hi! I was just offered a position as a DON. The pay will be great. This facility is small. Currently 29 residents. I currently work on a med surge floor. I have nursing home experience. My hard decision is due to the amount of time required. There is one ADON. The DON and ADON rotate on call. Would love to hear from other DON's in small faciilities
  3. Hi! I am going to be on my 2nd week of HH. I get to take care of the 5 pt's we have in my city. I am an RN. I will be doing the case manager part and the skilled part. I oriented with the LVN the one day that she comes to see the 5 pt's. I ended up having a resumption of care I did on my own. I feel so overwhelmed and like I didn't do everything I should have for the week. I am going to the office on Monday to get help with the paper work and for case conference. We had a pt whose Blood sugars were up. We notified the doctor. I feel though if they have increased Blood sugars that I should have gone and done a prn visit. Do you all use your prn visits if there is a change in their meds ect. I am not quite sure on my charting. Does anyone have any charting suggestions for me? How and what do you all chart? I would greatly appreciate any tips or help. Do you all call the doctor for the lab work the pt had done or will the doctor's office fax it to the HH agency. I am very grateful for this site and forum. Thanks a lot
