I unfortunately have a wedding this weekend-but i do love oakland and i would have loved to meet you! thanks for the invite though! very sweet! I am moving end of december/beginning of JAN. since class starts Jan 14th. My Dad is nice enough to drive me out with all my stuff.....i found a place with one bedroom funished places near by so I will be moving in to those....so i wont have to bring too much big stuff. I found everything online and will fly out in October for orientation and look around and get situated. Yeah its tough to not be able to "see" it online! Best of luck to you and yay for us becoming nurses!!!!! congrats again! the hard work paid off!!! :)

  9. Hello all former graduates! I was wondering about the housing? Being in the ACE program- many of us are former college graduates so we are all probably older than 22? I was wondering about the on campus apartments? Do you know if they are usually younger students? Or is there an older student vibe to them? Thanks has anyone seen the apts? are they nice? would you recommend?

  12. so it looks like it takes about a month to hear back....i have completed my application and now need to undergo the painful waiting process.....id be moving out from san francisco so i want to here back so i can start apt. hunting etc....that is if i get in....i have a 3.5 in pre reqs and a 3.3 gpa from my bachelors at uc berkeley so hopefully that will be good enough to get in.....i am just worried that there are not too many spots left for the fall deadline applicants!!! eeek! again congrats to the two of you who have already heard back! ill keep praying that in a few weeks i can write the same thing and then meet all of you this january!!! ps..do you know if NMC has a wait list? thanks
  13. hi hellokitty123! congats...im about to urn in the last for my application (due aug1st) what was your GPA and how strong were your essays? trying to get a feel for my chances! also how long did it take to hear back/when did you apply? please fill me in! i HOPE so much that i get in!!! thanks!
  14. wow congrats on DSN!!! thats great! i am also applying to oklahoma city university, university of south alabama, lakeview college outside of chicago and community college lottery schools like truckee meadow cc, tacoma cc in washington, merritt in oakland, sfcc etc.....but i already applied to the research college of nursing in missouri. i hear back aug 1st for the jan 2011 class....its not a first pick but i figured it was worth a try....my number one is methodist or UNMC....preferably methodist sicne i want to start in january and unmc dosent start until june.....i just cant stop stressing and thinking about it!!! i have a 3.3 from my anthropology degree from Berkeley, and I am still completing my pre reqs! hopefully i will get all As this semester but mostly likely a B in anatomy and then i have one last class this summer and then i can relax and be done with pre req..my goal is to get a 3.5/3.6 or higher in pre reqs.....i dont want to take the TEAS but i will have to i love denver and will be flying out there this fall for the american beer festival! denver is amazing!!! and i think it would be a great family place but i can see how the accreditation can be a problem. if you decided to give nebraska schools a chance and do an interview etc please let me know how that goes! i told methodist i would come out in june so ill let you know how to go/what to expect if you are still intersted! it would be nice to have another bay area person in my nursing class!!!
