Northeastern Direct-Entry NP
I'm a little late to the discussion, but I wanted to chime in anyways. My decision is not ready, and I really just want to know! Is it crazy to hold out hope even if I didn't get an interview? I hope they get the rest of the decisions up soon, because this wait has been killer. Good luck everyone!

MGH Direct-Entry MSN
Hi Everyone! I've been watching the forum for a little while now, but I figured it was time to introduce myself. I got my acceptance to the adult/gero pc track last Friday. Congrats to everyone who has heard of their acceptance, and best wishes to those waitlisted and still waiting to hear. I'm about 99.9% sure that I will attend MGH, but I am still waiting to hear back from Northeastern until I mail my deposit. I really hope I hear back soon. I didn't get an interview at Northeastern so I think my chances are zero, but I don't want to commit to anything before I have all the facts. I went to Northeastern for undergrad and have lived in Boston for the last 8 years, so if anyone has any questions about the city feel free to message me. The facebook group idea sounds really good, I'm excited to join once it's up.

Looking into direct entry MSN programs. I need help with thoughts and chances
I'm in the Boston area, so I'm looking at UMass Boston, Harvard Extension School and Simmons College (Dix Scholars). Do you know anyone who went to these programs? I'm concerned about the high price tag of Harvard/Simmons, but I think they have more flexible course schedules than UMB.

Looking into direct entry MSN programs. I need help with thoughts and chances
Hi! I'm in the same situation. I have a BA in Math from Northeastern, and didn't do too well in a few upper level math classes. I have Number Theory: D-, Real Analysis: D. This left me with a 2.987 overall gpa. The bulk of my math classes are in the C's. I ONLY have C and lower in math classes. All other classes are at least a B, and most are A or A-. I do have strong professional experience working as a patient transporter in a large medical center (2 years), working as a community health outreach worker in community health centers (1 year as AmeriCorps and 1 year as NU Co-op), I worked in a school for special needs children for 6 months, I volunteer with my local medical reserve corps and I will be looking for a position as a medical assistant for the next 2 years while I complete my pre direct entry nursing requirements. I need to take all of the pre-nursing usual requirements:bio, microbio, chem, orgo, social science, a &p. If I ace these requirements, do I have a fighting chance? Does anyone know of people with gpas under 3.0 that got in?
