  1. Thank you!! I am indeed in the spring cohort--how about you?
  2. So I finally caved and e-mailed Barbara.......and I got it!!!!!!!!!!! See you guys in spring!!
  3. How much do I wish I didn't live in CA right now....this wait is KILLING me. But congratulations, kirstyne!!! And good luck, GVTA, I know you'll make it work. :)
  4. Just in case anyone is checking this thread but not the "Acceptance letters????" thread, smASHthis got a letter today! Looks like our long, long wait is almost over.....
  5. Congratulations, smASH!!!! That is wonderful, wonderful news. I'm hoping my letter makes its way south to CA asap!
  6. Anyone have any news??? Keeping fingers crossed for everyone!
  7. Nope, she didn't say one way or the other--her whole e-mail to me was contained in my message, haha. :) My guess would be they haven't quite completed it, otherwise I would imagine that they'd be sending out the letters today, not as possibly late as Tuesday? Not sure, though.
  8. Just e-mailed Barbara and she said that they should be sending the letters out Monday or Tuesday. Fingers crossed!
  9. Thanks for the update, kirstyne. Guess I've gotta practice some patience for the next several days at least! I'm lucky we're living with my parents until the move--just have to worry about getting a lease started, not the end of a lease too! Good luck, everyone. :)
  10. No volunteer or paid work for Providence on my end, either. It made me so nervous when I found out that one of the women in my interview group works in the ED of (I think) St. Vincent's--I think she must be an automatic in! I just really hope we find out this week, all of my fiance's and my moving plans (where to look for an apartment, when to look, where he should look for a job, etc) are on hold until I find out and I think we're both going a little batty, haha....
  11. Nope, not yet (although I typically receive things about two days after everyone else because I'm down in CA). It sounded like two weeks--so tomorrow--was the absolute earliest Heather expected to make a decision. So I would guess maybe the letters will be sent sometime next week? She did say it could take as long as April 15th, but I'm reeeally hoping we don't have to wait that long.
  12. I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK to everyone interviewing for the Providence Scholarship day after tomorrow! I hope everyone's interview goes well and that Providence decides that we're just so darn cool they're gonna give us all scholarships.
  13. Just got my official letter today--accepted into the spring 2011 cohort as well! When I asked UP a few months ago about how they separate out the cohorts, they told me that the vast majority of transfers are placed in the spring cohort, and that they accept a few transfers into the fall cohort based on the number of prereqs completed (but not necessarily the time at which they would all be completed). So, GVTA, my guess would be that you had more prereqs completed when you applied than Sakara or I did. Although maybe that's just true generally and you lucked out, haha.
  14. Nor here, although we've already established that I am the last to receive things.
  15. I heard it was about twenty last year, although I don't remember exactly where I got that number from--I think it was somewhere on this board. I believe I also read that that number was the result of both the economy and wanting to wait for some of the current scholarship holders to graduate. Hopefully it's gone up since then, I think they used to give out 75 each year!
