  1. They have a link on facebook that they will answer questions on. Also, I may be wrong, but I believe that if they have an overflow of qualified applicants for one bridge class they roll them into the next bridge class. That would cause the next class to close faster though... I put my application in for Aug bridge in Feb and I am still waiting to hear. I may even get bumped to November. But I do believe they try to accept all qualified applicants....
  2. Seriously, lol I can't wait to find out! I already took the time off of work! If I don't get in I may have to take a vacation and spend some time nursing my ego back to life!! Come on May or June or what ever date they are gonna let us know the wait is a killer! Good luck all and see you on face book, I am Shannon Baxter
  3. I have my phone interview tomorrow between 12 and 2 I think. I am excited to find out what is to come! Yes, we are completely crazy with 6 kids and full time school! My kid are 15, 13,12,8,7 and 2! It is always crazy... I have the worlds best husband and he is very helpful makes my life better while I have so much going on! I will post tomorrow with my phone info. Shannon
  4. I work home health care and it is pretty simple to only do sup visits. It is really easy money. The down side...not all homes are clean and appropriate. There is often little that can be done about that. You do fall in love with some of your clients while becoming frustrated with others. It is a good job and I dont regret leaving a poorly managed med/surg floor for hhc. Shannon
  5. never mind, just got this email: starting with the may 2010, class 76, the application process has changed; an interview is no longer required because it will not be a deciding factor in your review. instead of the interview you are required to complete a short phone informational session to discuss important factors about our program and to answer any questions that you might have.
  6. Oh and I just looked at the calendar and it says that the deadline is April 19 and "Completed applications will be reviewed and applicants notified of the decision of the admissions committee within two weeks of the Review Completed date." Still not sure of when that will be, hoping for May...
  7. I thought we would know long before June Not sure why they are still sending out those emails. Shannon
  8. I put it in the mail last thursday from indiana, received the email on tuesday. Shannon
  9. i receive 2 emails from the school saying they would contact me soon for what i am assuming is the phone interview. i receive both of those on tuesday, so i am hoping to hear from someone today to set up interview time. patience is not a virtue of mine, so this is really hard for me. anyone else hear anything? shannon
  10. My husband and I have 6 children also! Are we crazy for wanting to go back to school, lol? Shannon
  11. I "fill in" when her full time nurse needs a weekend off or goes on vacation or is sick. It is my favorite and I would actually do it for free! There is a midwife run birth center about 45 minutes from my house I am actually applying at as they have 2 nurses about ready to retire. That job would be PERFECT for me! Good luck HappyNurse hope to see you at the end of summer! Shannon
  12. I sent in my application yesterday for the class of 80 bridge program. Now I must wait patiently for my phone interview and then a LONG wait to see if I get in! I have only been a nurse for 1 year. I worked in our local hospital as a nurses aid from nov 2004 until Nov 2009. I spent one year as an aid in L & D and then 3 years on medsurg going from an aid to extern to intern. I left the hospital for hours better adjusted so I could go back to school ( no nights holidays or weekends ). I have been working as a fill in nurse for a local CNM for about 2 years and she gave me a great reference, also my former supervisor of the L & D was a reference. I have wanted to persue a career as a midwife for more than 10 years, but just now have the opportunity. Anyone else sent in their application for class of 80 bridge? Anxiously awaiting... Shannon
  13. I mailed my application for the class of 80 bridge program yesterday. I was very sure I would get in, now I am a little nervous. I wanted to do June bound but that class closed a LONG time ago! So I sent in my application 2 months before the deadline hoping... Anyway, my name is Shannon and I am planning on becoming a CNM. Good luck to you all! Shannon
