How many clinical days do you have per week?

Hello everyone, I currently have no children and have about 5 years before age 30. At the moment is not the right time to take the exams for next year's classes because of our financial situation. I'm worried about taking nursing school and running out of time to have/start a family. I was thinking about going into school after my children are in school or perhaps have our children be in daycare on clinical days when I'll be at class while my husband goes to work and can't watch the baby. Would childcare for a few hours in a certified place be too expensive? What should I do? Also, do hospitals provide childcare for working nurses?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to decide between trying for full time lpn classes and also the thought of becoming a mom for the first time. I really want to do both but would like to hear from others who are a new mom and taking classes. Is it possible or just too much to take on? Thanks!

I've heard others need to take a NET exam for an LPN program. I've looked at other Boces locations/states and they all seem to require taking the TEAS test. Perhaps because you have all the pre-reqs done, you are qualified enough for the BNS program. Congrats :)

hi everyone, i've been reading posts on here for the last week. i'm new here and figured it would be the best place to connect with others who are in the same position as myself. i went to the local unemployment office and started to learn about online learning. i figured it'd be a good way to improve myself and spend time wisely between work days. i asked while i was there about the nursing program. i always had an interest in the medical field and my father kept insisting a few years ago to try to work in the medical field. i became interested in lpn field because 1. i like working with people, sometimes more along the lines of love, it makes my day. 2. i'm interested in medicine. so here i am now taking out books from the library, reading reviews on amazon regarding the best book for studying and bought the teas study manual. hope i'm not getting too long here i've read on here that the course at boces schools is intense for 1 year full time program. but i must admit i am getting nervous even though i can't take the test until october because i just got the book recently to start studying. does anyone else worry about keeping up in the class after they are accepted? when you go to the interview after the test, do they need to see your transcript or only your high school diploma? lastly what about references? i don't have a huge amount of work experience and i've moved from where i grew up 4 years ago. is it okay to use references from other states that you've lived in? thanks
