  1. I go to Darton College in Albany,GA. It is a 2 year program to get your ASN. So far it has cost me about 20,000 and I have 3 semesters to go. I have loved Darton!!!!! My plan to go on and get my MSN after graduation. That will be a 2 year bridge. I have alot of people in my class from ATL. They drive all the way to Albany or Cordele for class or clinicals because Darton has the highest pass rate for the NCLEX-RN. We started testing for the NCLEX-RN our very first semester and they send out review packets for the areas you need to review. Good Luck!
  2. HI! I am 28 years old and a wife and mother of three little boys, ages 6, 4, and 2. My middle son has Autism and it can seem like he is three children in one some days..lol...I was in nursing school when my husbend and I found out we were pregnant with our first son. I decided to drop out and allow my husband to finish his degree. I have now been back in school for two years and I should graduate next May!!!! I have loved being in nursing school! The best advice I can give you is don't feel guilty when you have to ditch the family for the weekend to study! The first day of class last semester our nurse advisor came to us and said "You are going to have to put your family and children second and nursing school first if you want to make it" I thought, whatever! My kids and husband are my first priority! BUt I learned real quick that she was right. Nursing school takes up alot of your time, but you just have to remember that you are doing it all for your family not just yourself. Just keep your mind on the prize and you can do it! Good luck!
  3. I am nursing student, in my second semester, and we arre studin GI right now....our book says to stip the feeding, flush the tube with 30cc of sterile solution, give the med, flush the tube again, start the feeding back after 30 min. These is to insure the patency of the tube and allow the medication time to absorb.....Is this right? I don't know...but thats how I understand it.
