Dayana - No I didn't take the prep course. I got a study book from Barnes and Noble...but honestly the English part is common sense. The math was a lot of conversions and was slightly harder. The prep course would probably be helpful because they will tell you exactly what kind of stuff will be on the test. Good luck!

So - I know that A&P is a class I take at BOCES....I will have to take it again at Suffolk?

I am starting the LPN program at Eastern Suffolk BOCES in the fall and am using it as a way to get into the RN program. I have a degree in Finance there were WAY too many pre-reqs I would've had to take to get into the RN program and going the LPN to RN route is the faster and cheapest way to do it for me. Does anyone know if the credits from BOCES are transferable to the LPN to RN prorgam at Suffolk Community College? Thanks! Julie

Hello all! I had my interview in March...it was fairly general....I think they just want to see the kind of people who pass the test in person to see what their appearance is like. However, coming from the business world...I came WAY overdressed I think. I wore a suit and saw everyone else come in wearing jeans! I was nervous and am now working on getting my references to hurry their butts up and fill out the forms! I hate waiting though am so nervous I'm not going to get in!

Hello All, I'm new to this forum. I am scheduled to take the LPN entrance exam at Eastern Suffolk BOCES next Monday (March 1st)...I am nervous! I have a BS in Finance but am changing careers to do something I think I will love. MY sister and a few of my cousins are all RNs and can't say enough about how much they love working in health care. I have been using an LPN entrance exam study guide to study for the past few weeks....but what else can I expect....is it super hard??! Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
