Hi I was wondering if anyone knows of a good CNA program in the Valley (preferably sherman oaks/woodland hills/encino etc) The only problem is I'm currently not working, and don't know how I could ever afford a vocational school. Last year when I tried to apply for nursing school, I was told that I would still have to list my parents tax information, as I'm not 24. I don't know if this is correct or not, but I know from previous experience that they make too much for me to be eligible to receive aid. Unfortunetly, they do not account for the fact that my parents do not support me since I am over 18. I was wondering if anyone knows a really cheap CNA program (I know WV occupational center, but even that I've been told can cost $1,200 with supplies) Are there any schools, that will help you find a job, and allow you to make payments once you're working? I've heard of training facilities that will train you in exchange for you working there for a certain amount of time, does anyone know of any? I'm so desperate. I'm currently living with my father, but this is only temporary, and must find a way to move and support myself. I really have no idea what to do. I need to find a way to If anyone can help I would really, really appreciate it.
