  1. So, I am scheduled to take my NCLEX PN in 2 weeks!!!! I am so freaking nervous, I was confident until I scheduled myself !!!! Anywho, my school did kaplan testing to prepare for NCLEX and its mandatory that we passed! Also Kaplan supposedly good indicator(97% NLCEX pass rate if you score 80 or above) of how successful you will be on boards. I also have the Saunders PN NCLEX study book with questions. I do very well on Kaplan tests which are designed to be much more challenging than the NCLEX as its not "basic" nursing material. But I dont do so well with Saunders (about a 70% on 100 question tests based on one subject i.e cardiac disorders 100 ?s). I dont know which to use for NCLEX prep?! Im freaking out becuase I want to pass my NCLEX on the first try!! Anybody can shed light on which is better? Or does anybody have some other NCLEX prep/study material that was helpful??? Thanks to all my fellow NURSES AND NURSES to be:nurse:
  2. I know it's been a long time everyone, but I FINALLY completed LPN school!!!! YAAAYYYYY!!!! Dedication does pay off:)
  3. Really good tips, I have a bit endocrine test 2morrow! And these tips helped!:)
  4. Im attend MCI Richmond campus. The program is expensive but financial aid helped a lot. The courses are tough, you have to learn at a fast pace. So far the teachers seem pretty cool. They really want to see you suceed. Like all schools, it has its ups and down but overall I like it and I'm doing pretty well! Hope this helps! BTW I'm going for LPN
  5. Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice! I'm feeling a whole lot better about nursing school! I'm doing well actually, I have a B in A&P and passed math:)! Stressing those courses help me realize I REALLY CAN do it! I'm so motivated and ready to tackle the rest of nursing school! :) Thanks again nurse fam!
  6. I started nursing school 3 weeks ago. I'm already failing math and a&p! A&P I'm not sure why I'm failing I'm very confident when taking test but I end up getting half of the questions wrong. Math is my weakest subject. I haven't understood any part of the basic that was given. I don't know how to add/subtract fraction, ratios, conversions...nothing! I'm very upset and I'm quitting school. Maybe this wasn't for me....Its something that I found very interesting and was very excitied at first but now I'm very disappointied in myself. I set really high standards for myself! I thought at the end of this road the hard work would pay off. But I can't go any further with no level of understanding......Please someone help! Any advice for nursing school escpecially me????? I'm desperate!
