The NOC shift doesn't wake up ANYONE in the morning...is this normal?
I work 3rd and the shift is over at 6 am we have to wake 5 people up bath them and dress them to put them back to bed till 1st comes in to wake them up for the day. I also have to wake up the walkers and have them walk from bed to the bathroom back to bed. I personally don't think its right having to do this to the residents but it is in there care plan so we HAVE to even if they don't want us to (at lest the bath part). I have worked 1st and it is a lot easier to get everyone up and ready on 1st then waking them up on 3rd!

Entering nursing school with an existing mental illness.
I would not worry so much about school but I know that you may have a issue with getting a job in nursing if you have certain conditions and can have problems getting the license its self. I know that when my mom was looking into reinstating her RTL there was a list of things that if you have or had you could not be licensed or you had to wait so many years to see its fixed. I don't know what all it was so you may want to look into that.

Vaginal Breech
I can only say from personal experience that I wish that they would at least give you the option! My 1st was breech and I ended up having to have all 3 of my by section. I was trying for a VBAC with my 2nd and did not work because I had to go in to labor naturally no later that 2 weeks before my due date (which did not happen). I think it would be nice if you had a say in it. I had a your breech and he wont turn so as soon as your blood work comes back you well have a c-section.

To be a RN or a LPN???
Am re-looking into nursing schools ( just moved ) and find that a lot of them are pushing LPN. At first I was wanting to get my LPN so I could start working in the field and then go for a RN. But after talking and looking around it seems that it is hard for a LPN to find work (at least right out of school). So I was wanting to know if it would be best to just go for the RN and not bother with the LPN schooling? Just wanting some advice from people with life experience. Thank you.

4 or 5 years for basic RN?????
I am new to Ohio and Im looking in to nursing schools. I live in Marion and the only one close with a RN program (that I have been able to find) is Marion Tech. I am set up to go and talk with someone there soon but when asking them questions over the phone they said that it well take up to 5 years to get through the program because there is a couple years waiting list for clinical's. I am not wanting to take 4 or 5 years for something that should take around 2. I have been looking around and am willing to drive to a school. I was interested in the Bohecker College (Columbus) but have heard some pretty back things so any help would be great!!! So PLEASE and Thank you!!!
