  1. Although I am only in nursing school, I one day hope to be a SRNA. I am in my second semester of school and I have never had to study before, but my grading scale is pretty strict (100-94 is an A, 93-90 is a B, anything less than an 80 is failing) and I want to make the best grades possible. This may sound a little crazy but I don't know how to study.......I know read then re-read but everytime I start reading my mind starts thinking about what I'm going to do later. How can I overcome this, or are there other studying tricks that I am unaware about. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Phil
  2. No I don't have my degree yet and I'm only getting 12 thousand dollars over the next two years.................Thanks for all the replies. Best wishes, Phillip
  3. Hey gang..... I was wondering if anybody could answer this question for me.....Right now I'm using stafford loans to help me pay for nursing school and of course like everyone else on this board I have dreams of going to CRNA school. I was wondering if I would still be able to get more stafford loans for school if I haven't paid off the loans from nursing school yet? Just curious......any advice would be greatly appreciated. Phillip
  4. Hi everyone i live in richmond va and i was wondering if anybody has heard anything about the bon secours nursing program. i can't figure out whether i should do that program or go through j. sargeant reynolds community college. Either way i'm going to get my bsn at vcu i just haven't heard much about bon secours. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Phil
  5. Thanks for the advice guys. i'm just trying to figure out the quickest route. i think both program are about the same because the science courses you have to take for the diploma program are taken at the same community college i'm looking at. thanks again for your advice
  6. Hi everyone my name is Phil and i am new to the forum. i live in richmond and i am torn between what nursing program i should go with, one is at a community college and you receive an associate's degree and the other is through bon secours and you receive a diploma. Either way i plan on going to VCU and then hopefully into a CRNA program. i just didn't know if it made a difference whether i had a diploma or a asn to start out with. i know crna school is a long way away but i just want to get on and stay on the best possible path. Any advice would be great. Thanks, Phil
