AHT
The AHT is just the entrance exam specifically for CCP. Instead of using the the other entrance exams they make you take their own test. It is a very quick test, about 45 min., composed of a math, reading comprehension, and grammar questions. It is based on speed and accuracy. In October of 2010, they will be holding info sessions on applying to the nursing program where you will get info on how to apply, the prereqs for applying, info on the AHT, and the actual application packet. There is really no one book to get to review for the AHT, but I believe they hold review sessions in a learning lab on campus specifically for the test. Once you send in your nursing application, which is due mid-Jan, they will send you a letter telling you when they have scheduled you to take the AHT. You can reschedule the test only once, I believe, but they will just randomly assign another date and time, so it is better to just take it when they schedule you. I hope that helped a bit and if you have any more questions feel free to ask me. I just went through this whole process this past semester.

That's funny...I received all the background check info with my acceptance letter, but no orange deposit slip. Hmm.. maybe I should talk to someone at the school. Congrats on your acceptance to the program!!

Hi again! I guess I will be seeing you next fall... just got my acceptance letter yesterday!! I know we have to make a deposit to hold our spot in the program, but that wasn't included in the letter they sent. Do they send a separate letter with the deposit info? Sorry in advance for all the annoying questions.

Congratulations!! I also applied for the program and was just thinking about when they were going to be sending out acceptance letters...I guess I have my answer. I was wondering when you sent your application and took the AHT, because I dropped off my application a day before the due date and just took the AHT on 1/25. I'm so anxious; it's all I can think about. I am trying to get a feel for when they send the letter, and if it has to do with when you applied or took the AHT. Sorry I can't give you much in words of wisdom, but again, congratulations on getting into the program!!!
