cna student question
hahahaha :) yes i am hoping it will be familiar to me. we have a quiz every day starting tomorrow. everything in the book we recieved today was not "new" info for me (alot i learned by doing in home hospice care & things i picked up from the hospice RN's) but there is a lot of vocab definitions :) thanks for the encouragement!!

LVN first, better tactic?
ouch, that is terrible that you had to leave the bay area!

LVN first, better tactic?
thanks for such a quick response! most of the LVN's in my area work at the prison (vacaville) the VA, SNF's, ALF's, home health, and those are all places I would have no problem working at.

LVN first, better tactic?
hello, question for all LVN/LPN students as well as the nurses themselves! i live in the SF Bay Area, and all the nursing program are impacted. (of course.) is it a better tactic to enroll in a vocational/practical nursing program? and work as a LVN/LPN for a while, while either deciding to work towards RN...or not to work towards RN? thanks all. :redbeathe

LVN programs Bay Area CA
hello, i did a search previously on CSI Career College as well as Western Career College & read some negative feedback. However, the threads were a little old, so maybe there will be some new responses now. :) has anyone attended these schools, or are currently attending? i have visited the WCC campus in Pleasant Hill (the LVN program is at the antioch campus) and the staff there seemed a little pushy. but i could be wrong. i have also visit CSI in Vacaville, and the staff there are not pushy whatsoever. again, just my experience. just am wondering if anyone could give me some tips on pro's/cons for each school. :):) thank you :heartbeat

cna student question
hello, i begin CNA school tomorrow. i am wondering if anyone has any tips, or suggestions? a little background about me: i have worked as an in home caregiver for about 5 years. most of my clients have had alzheimers, a few have a parkinsons, ms, and most recently, just ended my time with a hospice client. i am hoping to apply at the veterans home of california after finishing my CNA, since they have about 6-8 skilled nursing wards. any suggestions for that? thanks everyone.
